"They knew what they were doing for sure , had many cracks and broken concrete that had dropped and had a big area that was a void, by the time they were done the pieces were together and they filled in all the cracks and sealed them. The only thing now is it looks like puzzle pieces. So now I need to resurface or texture .it was awesome to see"

"Amazing from start to finish! We had a large hole in the exterior wall from an old AC unit. Estimates and scheduling were super easy. The two man crew that did the work were friendly, knowledgeable and kept me updated through the process. The brick lines they did were top notch. It’s completely seamless with the existing brick work. They cleaned up well and even closed up the back gates when they left. I would hire them again for any work in the future."

"The old unit broke down on a Sunday, they came out later that day and determined the old unit was not worth repairing. They lent us a mobile unit sufficient for one room and installed the new unit on Thursday. The two installers were polite and knowledgeable. They took the time to demonstrate the operation and programming of the new unit, and only left after we said we were comfortable with the programming and maintenance."

"Alan came out within a week from initial inquiry. Very knowledgeable. I had a water intrusion issue. He said I didn’t need a French drain just exterior cracks sealed. We ended up doing the fix ourselves; however took advice from Alan to buy Seal Krete and longer extensions on my gutters."

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

A crawl space can be as little as 42 inches below the grade of your house, but this is not always recommended in flood-prone areas. At a minimum, there must be at least 16 inches of clearance between the ground and the floor joists to access the space in an emergency.

Methods include interior sealants, exterior excavation and waterproofing membranes, sump pump installation, and vapor barriers for encapsulation. Techniques vary based on the structure and severity of moisture issues.

Physically, the most challenging part of finishing a basement is installing egress windows or doors when the space is below ground level. Mentally, the hardest part may be envisioning the project and planning around load-bearing and mechanical obstacles.

If a crawl space isn’t vented, there can be moisture buildup, which can lead to mold damage, easily destroying the foundation of your home. A closed-off crawl space can trap heat, which can be useful in the winter, but can also trap dangerous gases and prevent clean air from entering the home through the floorboards.

Yes, it’s worth it to repair a crawl space foundation, even if the issue seems relatively minor. Foundation problems often get worse and more expensive to fix if you leave them untreated. Additionally, your entire home, from the framing and flooring to the roof system, relies on the foundation for even and level support. Issues with your foundation will almost always manifest as problems in and above your living space, so it’s important to find a solution.
