I am honestly shocked to have to write this review. I used freedom air to replace my air handler and condensing unit which went great. I decided to have my ductwork replaced as well since it was over 30 years old. The installation at the end of the day was unacceptable and unprofessional, I would never recommend this to anyone. I trusted that freedom would account for, as would I, that carpentry type repairs would be necessary to perform a proper installation of new ductwork. I was left with the attached conditions that mind you are improved because of materials that I provided (otherwise it was apparently acceptable to leave me with a 14"x6" hole in my attic wall). I have spent nearly 25 thousand dollars with them and they choose to point to a disclaimer stating that this does not fall on them. I was not advised of this, I feel that they should have stopped work and advised they could not perform a proper install without carpentry services and I am completely baffled that a company that I once considered to be top notch is willing to simply state "not our problem" when I raised my concerns about the installation. Horrible experience. 0/10.

Freedom Plumbing removed and replaced, with new, the shower valve and trim at my home at a cost of $913.54. The work took 1 1/2 hours. Parts cost, at the most, $300. Their charge of $613.56 for 90 minutes of labor and the service call, I believe, is excessive. They also had to send another plumber later in the day to correct problems from the initial installation. I won't use this company again.

When you see 2.2k reviews from a small town business like Brevard County, you gotta question the legitimacy of these reviews. But it's ok because I got the first hands experience to write you this reviews. Everything went well the first time or so I thought. We had a gas leak according to them and there was also some other kind of leak but he closed it. First guy was nice. Told me I don't need to replace the system although it was old. I like the honesty. Move on. Next day the AC was still down. Tenant told me it was Friday. I called and asked if they could come again to see and if I had to pay service call fee again. Office lady said NO since it was just few days ago. She even put me on hold to check if it was correct. She said NO service call. Because of that, we waited until Monday to see them instead of calling someone else. So, magically, monday came and it was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT reason why the AC was down. So apparently, the previous technician failed to identify the real problem of the AC not running and they asked me to pay for a service call fee AGAIN because it's a completely different reason. Ok, sure. I'd pay but I have the coupon on the website said it can be $55 instead of $89. NOWHERE it says on the website we had to PRINT it out. NOWHERE. The techinician name CODY "honey" or "sweetheart" me saying they need to be printed for security reason. So let me get this straight, we have to print it out wasting paper and ink to give it to you to get a discount and just for you to throw the paper coupon away anyway and for what security reason? Not only that, the first time nobody asked me to print nothing! They just attached the coupon to my email. And he told me my AC would need 3 tons of refrigerants ONLY to diagnose what was wrong with it. And mind you 1 ton was almost $200. I told him no thank you. Why would I do that when you just told me I would have to replace the unit? So of course, he would go to the next step asking me about a new unit. Here comes the FUN PART number 2! I asked the previous guy to give me a quote for a new unit anyway. He did for $15,000! YES, you see it right 15k$$! I mentioned previously that to the office lady and Cody it was 15k$ and nope way too expensive. Both of them brushed it off and said it's very NORMAL. Uhh what?? Cody claimed you don't have to pay upfront but you can finance with them so NO problem. Wow what a sale pitch. I told him it's ok (thinking don't fool me, aint my first rodeo!) I just had mine replaced and it ain't 15k. 7k! He asked when was that? Last year - I responded. I thanked him for the quote anyway but too expensive for me. I'll call around and get more quotes. He then asked me what would I need him to do there. I said, "nothing and thank you. I will get multiple quotes somewhere else." Then he saying "I'm going to be honest with you here. In this kind of economy.." Sorry but I did not let him finish. I regret it now because I want to know what kind of sale pitch he was going to do to get me paying for their overpriced 15k$ AC. Anyway, I found someone else to replace the unit this week for $6k and he offered to fix the AC on the same day. I really appreciated his thoughtfulness because the first thing he offered was to fix the AC so my tenant don't have to stay in the hot house. This is the business you want to use, NOT freedom heating and air. No, but seriously, I cannot believe all of their people are willing to charge someone for an AC unit that is twice as much as their competitors without blinking an eye. This business is straight up throat cutting and going for the innocent people who don't know that they can get better option else where. I forgot to mention. They quoted me duct cleaning for $1500 (I got mine done 2 weeks ago for $400!) and some other duct work for $7000 the first time they came! So apparently they were able to diagnose and quote me those unnecessary problems with my AC system but could NOT find the true reason why my AC was down. Can you tell me why I should pay them service call fee again?

Horrible! They came out to our house to snake a clogged pipe on 7/5/22. We paid $586.00 for the service. Tech told us we had some roots in our pipe but we should be good for awhile but if it happens again he recommends putting a camera down(another $500). Worked fine until exactly one week latter 7/13/22 our drain was clogged again. We called Freedom air and plumbing and they said we would have to pay 86 for them to come out to see what the issue is and then they will tell us how much more we have to pay. If they stood behind there work they would have come back out and snaked our drain for free! Especially since it’s only been a week. We had to hire a real company who by the way guarantees there work for 6 months. Horrible company that just takes your money.

I can NOT recommend Freedom Air/Plumbing. They were called last week for a plumbing issue and I must say that I had a “horrible experience” and would never use this company as they walked off a job and after the manager told me he would have his tech on site to meet the city, nobody shows up and they didn’t return my calls. BUT, Let me back up to the beginning.....They were contacted at 9am last Friday and were asked if they could do some work that day clearing a line They advised they would call back within the hour to confirm. 2.5 hrs later I called back and they said yes were sorry we didn’t call you but we will be there at 2:30 today. They showed up and couldn’t duplicate the problem (backed up plumbing) and left. Then the tenant used the dishwasher and they were called back 30 min later to the home. The technician tried to snake the line, However he busted off the head of the snake and a few links and left around 60 ft in the line and left the home at 5:30 with no conclusion other than we will be in touch Monday. Lol. Mind you he left the home with his snake half in the house and a tenant with no plumbing for an entire weekend??? So, I then called the main office at 7:30 pm as waiting til Monday was an issue for a tenant that has no plumbing. So I had to pay for a hotel room Friday night. At 7:30 pm I explained to The office girls the significance of the issue and they said the manager would call first thing in the am. Nope, not at 9am so I called at 11am and nothing except someone will contact you shortly. Nope still nothing at 12:30 until I called and got a bit nasty. Now we have a manager named Matt who is involved and he said that he would get right on it and apologized. He did get a tech out there who removed his company’s tools from the drain line. Wow unreal. However, the new tech was unable to clear the line and felt this was the city of cocoa beach’s problem. When the city of cocoa beach came out, The city disagreed and wanted to meet the plumber on site. I personally spoke with Matt, the manager at 11:30 and he advised his tech would be there at 2:30 to meet the city and he requested the owner of the home to present. So the owner took a half day from work to be on site as so did t the tenant. However, not only did he not bother to show up but the scum bags went behind our back and contacted the city and cancelled the meeting we had and never told us. Matt didn’t show up either or even send a plumber. So, as we all sit there and wait, wasting our time, waiting for a confirmed plumber to show up, Freedom was no where to be found. We contacted the city to reschedule and the city confirmed with us that Freedom canceled the city’s appointment by email and they sabotaged our day. I then contacted Matt and Freedom to see what gives and why this happened and after 3 VMs, still not a call back. I guess they “walked off” the job. True professionals.

Excellent communication with all Freedom personnel. Installers were professional and courteous. They cleaned up everything and left all areas better than they found them.

The sales rep and 35 year HVAC technician, Curtis was the best professional I've ever worked with regarding HVAC. I got 4 quotes and I went with Freedom Air because Curtis sold me on the Company. He was 100% honest and upfront. He did a thorough inspection of my ductwork and where everything would go. He even returned prior to install with Freedom's top installer, Richard to go over everything again. The day of the install went flawless. As you could imagine removing both 5 and 3 ton outdoor units and indoor air handlers took time. They added new concrete slabs for the outdoor units and new board tops for the air handlers. They also added the 5inch media filter cabinets with filter. On top of all that, they added a return and zone in the master bedroom. All thermostats installed were communicating and they had to add wiring to the upstairs since the house was installed with the upstairs thermostat located downstairs (big fail on the builders part 15 years ago, but I am not the original owner otherwise I would've demanded they do it right). Even though I got everything top of the line, they were more competitive than the equivalent trane system. I originally thought I'd change my Trane systems with new Tranes but Curtis sold me on Lennox and after doing exhaustive research, I think Lennox is a great reliable brand. The installers, Jason, Josh and Ryan, along with Richard did a phenomenal job. Their master technician Robby (dude is a genius) came out and double checked all the work. Flawless! It's been a week now and the systems are such a noticeable upgrade. The XC25 is so quiet and the air handlers are so quiet I don't even hear them running. All and all, Freedom Air is the best HVAC company I've ever worked with and I'm so happy I spent the year or so researching to get the best! If you live in Brevard County, FL, look no further than Freedom Air and Heat, Inc!

The old unit broke down on a Sunday, they came out later that day and determined the old unit was not worth repairing. They lent us a mobile unit sufficient for one room and installed the new unit on Thursday. The two installers were polite and knowledgeable. They took the time to demonstrate the operation and programming of the new unit, and only left after we said we were comfortable with the programming and maintenance.

The technician showed up early without calling even though I was told they would call. He did not have on shoe covers before entering my house and smelled like cigarette smoke. He went to the outside unit and within 10 minutes told me I needed a whole new system and that he would not bother to put money into fixing my current problem. He showed me the numbers on how the compressors were working and when I showed them, I took pictures, to a friend who is a professional commercial A/C technician, he said it was a scam. My current system is a very well known and reliable air conditioner that is only 12 years old. It was still working just not cooling enough. He then spent the next 40 min trying to get me a cost on an entire new system without doing any calculations on size or how insulated the house was. At that point I just wanted him out and took the estimate to have a ball park figure.

First, a bit of background. We knew our A/C was getting old (it was installed in 1998) and started getting quotes back in 2010, but decided to see if we could get a few more years out of it (we have it serviced every year and I think that helped it live as long as it did). We got more quotes in 2013, but, again, decided to wait. Then, it died on Thanksgiving day of 2015. We needed a new system but took our time finding the right company. I had already gotten quotes from companies in the past and knew which ones I wasn't impressed with from that process, so I decided to get quotes from one company I had liked and three new ones. Of the new ones, two were from companies that had done work for neighbors, one of which was highly recommended (Freedom) by a neighbor who does as much research as I do on purchases.
I also did a LOT of research on a forum owned and run by retired and professional HVAC people. Their help was invaluable, and it was unbiased because they weren't trying to get my business. The one thing I read over and over on the site was that proper installation was far more important than the equipment being installed. That made sense but I didn't know what it meant until Matt from Freedom Air came to my home to give me a quote. He pointed out things that NONE of the other 8 or 10 other companies had noticed. He explained a lot of things to me, such as how the angle that air comes out of the ceiling registers can greatly affect how well any given room is cooled (or not, if the angle is wrong). It was obvious to me that he knew what he was talking about, and he made it easy to narrow down our choice to Freedom Air.
As I said above, we also added a whole house dehumidifier, which was no small thing since they are pricy. My husband and I decided to add the dehumidifier to the process for two reasons: 1) We live in Florida and it will do a better job of dehumidifying the house than the A/C system alone, and 2) I have a daughter with health problems and the dehumidifier will help with that. Matt and Freedom Air were willing to adding this, and they were also upfront in telling me that they had installed only two of these in the past. I truly appreciated the fact that they were honest with me about this fact before they starting the installation.
Knowing that they didn't have a lot of experience with whole house dehumidifiers meant that there might be a few kinks to work out, and there were. But I'm getting ahead of myself. The day of installation went better than I had hoped. They arrived on time, were all professional, and wore booties on their shoes so they didn't track dirt through my house. They finished much sooner than I thought they would and cleaned up well.
As for the dehumidifier, it took some fine tuning to get everything right. The main problem was that the way they initially hooked it up to the duct system blew warm air into one room. They called Honeywell and spoke directly with them to resolve this problem, which they did. It took several trips back to my house to resolve this, and I am happy to say that they were always polite and respectful when I called or came back to my home.
We are now three months into our new A/C system and we are all very happy with it. I am so glad I went with Freedom Air. They were responsive to my needs, respectful of the fact that I used an Internet forum for knowledge and information, and they kept coming back until the A/C system worked the way it needed to.
It might sound like there were a lot of problems with our installation but I want to clarify that what we experienced were the result of adding a whole house dehumidifier. We were sort of like a guinea pig, and we knew that going into this. As far as I can tell, it was a win-win situation for both us and Freedom Air - We now have a new A/C and dehumidifier that work great (FAR better than our previous system), and Freedom Air gained experience on the best way to incorporate both items in a home.
