"Mr. Rhodes wore a mask and was professional and knowledgeable. He gave me options for repairs and promptly proceeded without judgement, regarding my needing the least expensive repair. He also found the source of a slight sewage odor and capped off the drain pipe by the washer water valves, without additional charge. I would recommend Mr. Rhodes to anyone."

"My patio was in need of dire repair for the last year but with increased cost of goods and materials I kept putting it off due to the high estimates from Concrete companies. Came across Wet Willies Lagoon’s and he came out right away. Not only was his estimate cheaper than the other contractors I called, he finished the job way a head of schedule! I’d also like to note the professionalism of all the staff and the fact that whoever was working on my patio was dressed in the company’s work attire. I always knew who was on my property during the renovations. Thanks Wet Willie’s!"

"Mr. Adkins and his company have been around for at least 10 years working with our company. We've used them for window caulking as a subcontractor. Very reliable, always completed the work, he has been doing work for his own company now, so it's been a year and a half or so since he has worked for us!"

"I only use James when I need some work done to my house. He responds fast, gets the work done quicker than just about anyone else I've ever used and seems very concerned with leaving his customers happy."

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

Topical sealers adhere to the surface of concrete to create a protective layer. In many cases, this is all you need for concrete that sees light to moderate traffic, such as your basement. Penetrating sealers, on the other hand, bond with the free lime in the top layer of concrete to form calcium silicate, which prevents liquid from passing through. This type of sealer protects the surface from water, oil, and gasoline spills.

In most cases, yes, because the large majority of basements leak or will have moisture issues at some point, and waterproofing methods can mitigate that risk or eliminate it entirely. Plus, water and moisture issues can be quite problematic, as they can lead to mold growth, rotting of building materials, structural damage, poor indoor air quality, increased electric bills, and other problems.

Yes, you can enclose your crawl space. Enclosing your crawl space can promote energy efficiency and reduce the risks of pests and mold by limiting factors like humidity. It can also reduce heat loss, which is why doing so for the winter can make your home more comfortable.

Water can seep into porous materials like wood beams, floor joists, and roof rafters within minutes, but they’ll need to see prolonged exposure before you have structural damage. Mold can start growing within 24 hours, and mold can eat away at the structural components over time. Wood rot is more of a concern, though. Wet and dry rot are fungal infections that set in in moist conditions and rapidly deteriorate wood, causing major structural damage within just a few months in some cases.

Yes, usually you will need some kind of vapor barrier on the exterior walls when the framing is attached to concrete and masonry surfaces.
