"They cleaned and sealed our tile flooring throughout our house. They moved furniture, cleaned by mopping and applied sealer over the areas. They then used a power buffer to polish. They arrived on time, weâ re courteous and careful. The price was commensurate with the service. We would recommend them highly."

"This review is very late, but better late than never.  Highlander Hard Surface Restoration cleaned the tile in my home that had been severely dirtied by many pets making "mistakes" while they were in my house.  I used to be in animal rescue.  The cleaning I gave was fine for the tile, but the grout was quite nasty.  I was on my knees many times trying to clean it with wire brushes and anything I thought might work.
I finally called a professional, and Highlander performed a miracle!  Highlander worked VERY HARD to get the worst spots clean and my floors gleamed.  I apologize that this is so late, but want Angie's List to know how good this company is.  I really don't remember the cost.

"Justin, a young man came to my home, looked at each piece to be done, which was an assortment of different fabrics, recorded details to be dealt with and set about spending a lot of time and energy staying with each piece of furniture till they were clean and beautiful once again. He pretreated each item before using the Hot Water Process with powerful motors.. My furniture and rugs look brand new! Whatever cleaners Justin used they it did not affect the brightness or clarity of color in my assorted furnishings. He worked diligently for 5 hours straight. I felt like Jason approached his work with the same care as if it was his home. I am delighted and thrilled to have clean bright furniture and a very white clean rug once again."

"I LOVE my floors again!! Our floors became very hazy and dull due to wax build-up of those so call “laminate floor-friendly” wax/polish products. Paul, the owner, came over and completed the work himself with a helper. He worked very hard, may have under estimated the job but kept to his price. He was very professional and I would definitely hire him again."

"We had a great experience with this service provider. The provider did a free estimate which only took a day or so to get. Once scheduled they showed up on time and were very professional. Our terrazzo floors were definitely in need of a good cleaning everyday wear and tear had finally took it's toll on these once amazing floors. The service provider was very efficient and got the job done in a timely manner. We will be recommending his company to our neighbors and friends. We have since had all the carpet and flooring done at our offices."

"

The travertine floors in my home were installed prior to me purchasing it and I soon realized that it was a poor installation job. Over the years holes in the tiles began to appear, the floor was looking old and worn and my wife was over the toe stubbing high tiles, referred to as lippage. My search for a professional to address the problems with my floors seemed like a dead end. I could not find anyone that I felt would or could do the job right. I was considering having the tile replaced (which I did not want to do) until I spotted the bright yellow Floor Guy truck and trailer at a business in Beverly Hills.

Ray (The Floor Guy) was very prompt and professional, thoroughly explaining everything that needed to be done and the process. He filled the holes with an epoxy, grinded down the high tiles to make the floor nice and flat and then polished it. He has all the right equipment and methods to keep the dust at a minimum and do a great job. He's very professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable. I am so thankful to have found him, he saved me a lot of headaches and money, replacing tile/travertine floors is not cheap. My wife and I are so pleased, actually thrilled with the job Ray did, we will definitely refer him anytime with the utmost confidence that he will do a great job!

The entire house (ex the garage) is travertine, which is approximately 2,300 square feet. The original cost of the job was $12,305, but after a 10% discount of $ 1,230 our total cost was $ 11,075. Happy with the quality job, happy with the price, thanks again to The Floor Guy!

"Both jobs performed for me by the provider were done in a timely manner , at end of each day work area was left clean and safe , reflective shine that was promised was achieved at both flooring types . Provider actually measured pre shine reflection and post shine reflection numbers for shine verified what was obvious to the eye but it was great to have additional info or verification of polishing effectiveness - would hire again and plan to in near future !

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

No, you cannot use bleach on Dekton. Avoid harsh chemicals when cleaning and treating Dekton. Such chemicals are unnecessary since Dekton is highly stain-resistant and nonporous. Instead, use a mild solution of water and soap or vinegar when cleaning your Dekton countertops and dry thoroughly with a clean cloth.

Most experts agree that the best thing with which to clean epoxy floors is a diluted mixture of ammonia and warm water. You can also use mild dish soap diluted with warm water or a degreaser (such as Simple Green or Goof Off) diluted with warm water. Some soap-based cleaners can leave a haze. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.

To properly maintain natural stone surfaces, use pH-neutral cleaners for regular cleaning and avoid acidic substances that can cause damage or etching. It is also important to reseal the surfaces periodically, especially for porous stones, to protect the finish, maintain appearance, and ensure longevity.

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.
