"Roger and his crew did an outstanding job trimming several trees and removing a large laurel oak tree that was aged out and too close to the house - risky during storms. They were so good at maneuvering equipment and bringing down large limbs without damage to fencing, the pool cage or other nearby trees. On time, removed debris and cleaned/raked area. They have been my go-to tree service for years and never disappoint. Fair estimate/excellent work!"

"When I reached out to Angis List on Tuesday , Mr Lopez was in my driveway B4 my phone stopped ringing from the other providers. We surveyed the job together , discussing what I wanted and what he would do. We agreed on a price in less than 10 minutes and set the appointment for Thursday of the same week. Mr Lopez reached out via text to re confirm and was here with his crew by 8a.m. Got right to work and left the area clean & tidy of debris. You cant even tell that any work was done except that the trees are gone!! :) De Leon Landscaping does it all....mulch/rock/sod...plants...yard cleanup and maintenance...tree and shrub trimming. Mr Lopez is the only yard man that you will ever need. Top notch service and work. Thank you again Mr Lopez and AngisList"

Customers say: Quick response

"These guys came out cleared the lot That I bought across the street from my house They made every pepper tree into wood shavings it looks amazing. They cut down a huge oak tree towering over my house as well as my neighbor's house Roping and dropping every limb exactly where they wanted. On the adjacent side of my house, they sent a free Climber up and trimmed that oak tree to perfection. They clean all 3 yd up. Managed to get everything done in 1 day. Even with a hour and a 1/2, rain delay. These guys have the equipment and are driven. And do an awesome job could not be more happy."

"It went very well. I met Marco at the landscape store and picked out the plants I wanted, bought mulch around 9:00 am and he and his associate went right to work. They worked hard, all day and were very professional, communicative what I as the owner wanted and where and other than a lunch break, worked until almost 6:30 pm to get the job done! I was very pleased with results and have received many compliments from my neighbors last night and today. I am going to have Marco provide ongoing yard maintenance on a bi-monthly basis. Their estimate for the project and ongoing maintenance was fair and the quality of work excellent. Thank you Angie's List for your help and recommendation !"

"Excellent work done fast and efficiently. Edward spotted issues other than what I hired him for and did them at a low incremental price. My only (minor) complaint is he left a small section of a tree trunk in the bushes."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

For safety reasons, leaning trees are best removed by a professional, as they may often tear away from the hinge, causing you to lose control over where the tree falls. If you choose to cut down a tree leaning slightly, avoid cutting off root protrusions before you start. Make your hinge a little longer than usual by cutting it deeper (up to 30% of the diameter) and applying a wedge into the felling cut on the side the tree is leaning. Stand away from the direction the tree leans while making your felling cut.

Yes, it is highly recommended to remove tree stumps. Leaving them in the ground can lead to several problems, as they are not only unsightly but can also reduce your property's value. Stumps can obstruct landscaping plans, make mowing difficult, and hinder new growth. More importantly, they are prime breeding grounds for pests like termites, ants, and mice, which can spread to your home and cause costly damage to its wood and foundation. Stumps also attract fungi and diseases that can infect other healthy trees and plants in your yard. As a stump decays, it might sprout new, unwanted shoots. While removing a stump is an investment, it prevents these potential issues and enhances the safety, health, and appearance of your landscape.

In most ways, palm trees are incredibly low-maintenance. They don’t need a ton of water—which is why they’re so beloved in desert regions—and they basically prune themselves. But they do need an ample supply of sunlight and to be in soil that will allow for proper drainage so that their roots don’t become waterlogged and at risk of developing illnesses.

If the plant begins to wilt, develop spots, or change color, these could all be signs that your palm tree has a disease. But a few basic treatments, like pruning and applying fungicide, will usually be more than enough to return it to perfect health.

After a big storm, you may not be sure if a tree was struck or not. Look for the telltale long scars, like strips or gouges in the bark of the tree, running in sometimes jagged lines down the length of the trunk. These scars will often show vulnerable living wood inside the tree. It’s also common to see scorched or wilted leaves on the side or top of the tree where lightning struck.

In most cases, your neighbor is responsible for roots from their tree that cause damage to your property. If your pavement, the foundation of your home, or a fence is damaged by roots from a neighbor’s tree, you likely will have legal recourse for financial relief. While it’s better to notify your neighbor of any problems you notice as soon as they arise to avoid costly damage, there are some instances where filing a civil suit is your only recourse. Your homeowner’s insurance company might wish to do so on your behalf if you file a claim.
