"I highly recommend Cultiv8 Landscaping Services. They have been nothing short of professional in their responsiveness, accommodations and ability to get things done. We are currently undergoing a massive landscape project that includes grading, clearing debris, taking out trees, fencing, landscape design. While I was getting quotes from multiple companies we went with Cultiv8 as they provided all the services we need at a very reasonable quote. They assisted us in phasing and budgeting to make our vision a reality. This included helping us establish our dog run, first phase of fencing, grading, taking out trees along with stump grinding, and installing an irrigation system. They even helped us with our renovation efforts by providing a dumpster! Our project is still ongoing with Cultiv8 and will be posting an update. Until then, please don't hesitate to contact them for your landscaping needs - Jay is personable and really is about customer service!"

"I told Scott what items needed to be hauled and we agreed on a price and time. He arrived when he said he would, loaded up, and was finished in no time. I didn't have to do a thing to do except write the check. He was friendly, professional, and I would use his company again."

"I couldn’t be more pleased with the work ! I gave actually thought I was in the wrong place when they answered because I was needing some plank flooring that was glued to the floor removed. They gave me a price again. I thought it was unrealistic that they could do it for that cheap they came out there used a technique. I’ve never seen before and had that plank up in no time. Thank you oh did I mention they did it all in the same day I called."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

You should always calculate real estate development costs on a case-by-case basis, so there’s no specific formula to estimate your total. You should speak with a local construction manager to see what you’ll need to do in terms of clearing and leveling the land, connecting utilities, and pulling permits for construction. A professional will be able to get you an accurate estimate for land development.

Costs vary, but you can expect to spend between $1,000 and $4,000 to prepare land for a mobile home or before you build a house. You’ll need to clear enough land for the foundation, which may require leveling or grading, as well as removing trees, stumps, and plants. Don’t forget to plan for permits and fees and the installation of a gas line, water line, and sewer main.

When considering the price of drilling a well, factor in how much you’ll save in water costs per year. The average family of four uses 100 gallons of water per person per day in the U.S. With a private water well, you can save hundreds each year.

Wells are also environmentally friendly. You don’t need to worry about drinking water treated with chemicals. Talk to at least three well pump contractors in your area. They’ll be able to tell you more about your options, give you different quotes, and discuss the biggest concerns.

Soil testers and licensed excavators are often the professionals you hire if you need a perc test. In some cases, structural engineers will also be able to conduct the test for you. In many municipalities, you’ll need your professional on-site to dig and fill the holes with water, as well as a representative from your local building department or health department. That representative is the individual who will determine whether your test passes or fails.

There are a couple of ways you can determine the depth of your well. One method is to use a device called a well sounder. This tool has a long measuring tape containing a sensor to alert you once the end reaches the water.

Or you can DIY it by using a long tape measure with a half-filled bottle of water attached to it. Lower the tape measure into your well. Once you feel tension on the tape, you’ll know the bottle has reached your static water level. This will give you an approximate idea of your well’s depth.
