We are a local family owned AC air duct and dryer vent cleaning business proudly serving the Central and South Florida area. Our goal is to remove dirt, dust, debris, and bacteria, thus restoring your air ducts to clean and healthy air passages. A dryer with restricted airflow increases risk of fire, runs significantly longer, causing utility costs to rise, increasing the need for repairs and decreasing the life of the dryer. Our goal by cleaning your dryer vent is to help ensure your dryer is both safe and energy efficient.

"They did a great job cleaning the ducts from the vents to the attic plenum boxes. They verbally guaranteed cleaning the ducts would fix our problems with the mildew smell. What they didn't tell us is they can't clean the plenum ducts in the attic which connect the main plenum to all of the other plenum boxes in the attic. Once they finished cleaning the ducts, the smell persisted. We had them come out a 2nd time but this didn't help. We asked for feedback from the owner, and was told we needed to replace the plenum boxes. We had an AC company inspect the system and they confirmed the plenum boxes and plenum ducts needed to be replaced. What we found is that if you have mildew in your vent lines, it's probably in your plenums and plenum ducts as well, which they don't work on. It would have been great to know this up front. It feels like we threw money away since the AC company could have resolved all of this in one trip."

HVAC is short for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning and refers to climate control systems installed in residential or commercial properties. ... An HVAC contractor, therefore, is a company whose service technicians are in charge of installing, maintaining and repairing these systems.

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is possible. An electrical fire can break out if the compressor has inadequate ventilation. When it overheats but doesn't have a proper thermal cutout, this can cause the motor to short-circuit and catch fire. This risk is exacerbated if flammable materials, like dust and fallen leaves, are clogging the unit. The compressor overheating won't start a fire by itself, but poor maintenance and installation can increase the risk once it hits its breaking point and short-circuits.

When your AC contactor goes bad, you might hear chattering or buzzing noises coming from your air conditioner. You may also notice that your AC is running but isn’t cooling your home. In some cases, your air conditioner might not even turn on at all. There could also be physical damage, discoloration, or corrosion around the contactor.

Yes, you should turn off your AC if it’s leaking. Turning off the AC will prevent more condensation from leaking from your unit, and it will also reduce the increased strain on the system if a damaged internal component or a lack of refrigerant is the culprit. As soon as you notice a leak, turn off the system and investigate the source of the leak or call a pro to inspect it.

A new HVAC unit typically adds about $2,500 to $3,000 to the value of your home or about 5% to 7% of your home’s value. Since a new unit can cost up to or more than $10,000 to install, it’s up to you to decide if the upfront cost is worth the added value. Consult a local AC installer to determine next steps.

You should schedule a full-service AC inspection at least once a year to ensure it works properly. During this time, your local AC repair pro will check:

  • Safety components, such as carbon monoxide leaks

  • Cooling components, like coolant levels

  • Electrical components, such as inspecting fuses and wiring

  • Complete system services, like flushing the drain line

While you can DIY some aspects, like changing your air filter, it’s imperative that you call in a pro to inspect your AC for you. Your air conditioner has refrigerant that could be hazardous to your health if not handled properly, so it’s best to let a pro with experience take on this job.
