"After taking my telephone call, the serviceman showed up promptly and replaced our 10-year-old water heater. The installation went smoothly, the work area was left in great condition, and the old water tank was removed. The serviceman went through the adjustments that might need to be made, depending on water temperature, and answered all of my questions. It was a very professional and pleasant interaction."

"I hired H&H plumbing to install a new kitchen sink and faucet as well as e bathroom faucets. They did an excellent job. Alex came out to give me an estimate he also measured my sink to make sure I purched the right size. Bryan did the actual installing of everything. He arrived on time he was courteous and friendly and did an excellent job installing everything in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend H&H plumbing I will use them for my future needs."

"My plumbing problem turned out to be the pump in the septic tank. Justin knew immediately when I described the issue. He fixed the problem after a quick trip to Home Depot. While here I described some other issues I had been having and he suggested I hire an electrician to make some basic changes to prevent future problems. After the electrician made the suggested changes, I had Justin come back and fix the other issues. He was great. He kept me well informed of what changes should be made and approximate cost. He actually finished in 1/2 the expected time and the bill was much lower than expected. His hourly rate is worth every penny for the workmanship he performs. I would hire him again and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $3,000 to $7,500, depending on system size and efficiency.

Yes, most municipalities require a permit for propane boiler installation to ensure safety and code compliance. Permit fees vary by location and are often included in your installer’s quote, as they’ll handle the permitting process. Ensure that you always check local regulations before starting your project to avoid fines or delays.

If you hear your radiator clanking even when it’s turned off, it’s typically because there’s trapped water or air in the system, causing a pressure buildup. When you hear significant clanking, popping, crackling, or banging in a radiator that’s turned off, you’ll want to bleed the pipes or call in an HVAC specialist to deal with the problem (and prevent it from happening in the future).

Many HVAC companies offer free quotes and free estimates for repairs and new HVAC systems. Others offer low-cost quotes or apply the cost of the estimates or diagnostics to your final bill if you hire them. Be aware that some companies advertise free HVAC quotes and recoup the costs by charging more for their services. Free HVAC quotes are never truly free—they cost the company time and effort—so be a good customer. Also understand that you may end up paying for free quotes in another way if you don’t hire a reputable company.

Generally, an oil furnace is considered safer than a gas furnace for several reasons. While both types of furnaces can produce carbon monoxide, a leak in an oil furnace is easier to detect due to the smell. Oil furnaces also don't connect to a gas pipeline, which reduces the chance of a fuel leak. Most importantly, heating oil is not combustible, whereas natural gas is highly flammable. This means there is a much lower risk of combustion or explosion with an oil furnace. However, an oil furnace can still pose a fire hazard if it tips over.
