Ellington Air Conditioning & Heat

Ellington Air is wonderful. I came home to a thermostat with a black screen. It was 4:48pm and I called. The woman who answered the phone was great and they had a tech out to my house before 6pm. Mike was super professional, nice, answered all my questions, explained things so I could. understand. I have used Ellington Air for several years and will continue to use them. They have never failed in providing me excellent service. I highly recommend them.

We hire Ellington AC repair man which has cancer in 2016. He came and give us service order for $2400 to change motor and clean condenser and he told me it is cheaper than buying new AC. So, he forgot to remove muffler from AC and when you turn heater on, it was making noise. So, Ellington send rude and impolite skinny and tall guy (Jeff) to fix his mistake. Every questions that I asked him, he was yelling at me rudely. So, when it was time to replace my AC, I went to another company and pay $6400. I wrote this to let people know what can happen.

Technicians where very good. They replaced capacitor. Price was $410 Cost for Truck coming to house $286 Cost for Finding problem $99 Remainder, part cost.

I feel very lucky to have found Ellington AC. Everything about them and their work from start to finish was top notch. Jason, the owner, and founder came in-person to figure out what would work best and provide an estimate. Once the contract was signed, Ellington took it from there. They did the permitting and electric company coordination. The installation crew was professional and obviously very knowledgable. They always left the area in which they worked clean. I have had the system in for 1 year now. I am entirely pleased with it. Ellington deserves the highest recommendation.

Sean called a few minutes before arriving to give us a heads up. The appointment time was followed perfectly and the work was completed in a professional manner. He left the premises just as he found them - no messes! Sean even was able to re-program three of my thermostats that have been driving me crazy. His follow up instructions and outline of work performed was clear and concise. This is the best AC provider in Brevard County, in my opinion. I've lived here for over 50 years and had experience with many other AC contractors.

As I had experienced Jeff's work before during the new install of the complete system which by the way, was very clean looking and done right. Everything went great! Jeff was on time and had called to let me know he was on his way. Jeff came in and went right to work. He showed me how to power down and remove the electronic filter, clean it, reinstall it then power it back up. I had a question on how to pair my cell phone to the thermostat. He took the time to go online and helped me set it up. Jeff is a true professional that does know his job well and does it just the same. I would have no problem recommending Jeff and Ellington AC & Heat to anyone.

After having our home A/C unit replaced 4 years ago by a local HVAC company we have had nothing but problems with it. The original installer did make attempts to figure it out but not a single one of their guesses worked. Plus they only wanted to work on it when the weather was cooler. While talking with a realtor friend, we asked if she knew anyone and she said her office recommended Ellington. And so I called to see if they would be willing to take a look at our system. After the initial two-hour, two-man investigation by David & Joey, they noted that the air handler stand was too high for the geometry of the original ductwork, causing flow stagnation, and that the new unit that had been installed was too powerful for the existing ductwork. They suggested the air handler stand to be removed, rebuilt and lowered. When taking it apart they found that the air handler had been not been installed plumb and it wasn’t draining properly. The condensate drain line needed to be redone and the 2nd stage of the compressor was bad too. They also discovered that there was a short in the thermostat wire. That wire is what sends the signal from the thermostat to the air handler so the unit was skipping 1st speed and going right to 2nd speed and blowing hot humid air into the house. No wonder our A/C never worked properly, there was a multitude of issues with it! John, Sean, David, Joey, Dustin, Christian, Jay, and Corey, were all very knowledgeable, experienced, and super professional. Plus they had no problem working during the summer which also makes Ellington extra phenomenal. They were an amazing team who worked diligently together to figure out the source of the problems, come up with viable solutions and then fixed them. Joey was absolutely amazing and was a terrific communicator with us as the problems were being identified, which was no easy task since there was one after another. It gets even better. Even though the installation was done by another contractor, Ellington still handled the warranty paperwork with Trane to cover all the needed parts. Just more excellent customer service from Ellington. What we learned from this ordeal is you can purchase the latest state of the art equipment but if you want it installed properly, then it’s also important to have skilled technicians who are trained and up to date with the current technology needed to correctly position these advanced units in place. This goes for troubleshooting too. While most of our A/C problems did stem from a poor installation the bad wire was nobody’s fault. Because Corey was a competent technician who was up to speed with the modern technology of the unit, he was able to diagnose it! Thank you again Mr. Ellington, Joey, David, John, Sean, Dustin, Christian, Jay, and Corey. Ours was a challenging job but because of your commitment to professionalism we now have our beautiful air-conditioned house back and are forever grateful.

I called and scheduled my appointment. The office called the night before to confirm the two hour window that the tech would arrive. The tech, Tommy called when he was on his way to the house and was here on time. He was professional, friendly, and efficient. It was a pleasure having him in my home. I purchased a maintenance contract with Ellington for this year and next. Excellent customer service!

Technician arrived early in the promised window. He was polite and went right to work after initial discussion about our problem (AC failed after lightning from storm). Changed out wiring harness and circuit boards and had system fully repaired. Excellent service throughout.

Tommy did a very good job. He was responsive to my concerns and very informative. I especially appreciated him using the booties to cover his work shoes when entering my house. Overall I continue to be impressed with Ellington's customer service and technicians.

Went extremely well. . Three men did the installation .they knew what they were doing and were very experienced . their professionalism was appreciated. They took time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. The job was completed in about eight hours. they thoroughly cleaned up their mess and left my house looking like nothing ever happened.They especially went out of their way to be friendly and nice . Perfect! The AC quit on a Friday evening. I called Ellington expecting a recording or answering service, but got a live person. They scheduled a call Saturday morning on Memorial Day weekend and the Tech showed up on time. Couldn't repair as a part was needed, but said he would look for a temporary fix and returned Sunday morning and fixed it. Ordered the new replacement part on Tuesday and made permanent repair on Thursday. I'm 77 years old and I've never dealt with a more professional company then Cocoa's Ellington Air conditioning service.

Tommy came out and did a full diagnostics check to make sure everything was working properly and explained what we needed to do if the problem happened again. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who was looking for a good HVAC company. They are the company we had install our A/C so there was no cost for the check.
