"On September 16, 2025, I met with a Paradise Exteriors sales representative who first quoted me $113,000 for window and door replacement. After a few “calls with the owner,” the price was lowered to $82,000 on the condition that I sign the contract and pay a $5,000 deposit that same evening. I was assured that under Florida law, I would have three business days to cancel without penalty. The following day, I emailed the sales representative to cancel. On the morning of September 19th, within the three-day cancellation window—I hand-delivered the signed Notice of Cancellation to their office. Mark Hildreth, Vice President of Operations, signed and misdated the document for September 20 instead of September 19, which would have made it appear I missed the deadline. When I later checked the form in my car, I noticed the incorrect date. I immediately returned to the office, where an employee tried to white out the error; I insisted on a new signature and correct date. Despite complying fully with Florida Statute §501.025, which requires refunds within ten business days of cancellation, Paradise Exteriors failed to return my $5,000 deposit. When I called, they said it was in review and they actually have 14 days. I reached out to the sales rep and asked to investigate it , I spoke to an employee at a booth they had set up and had him send a strong message back to the owner. None of that helped me get my deposit back, until October 15, 2025—more than three weeks later—I had an attorney send a certified letter. Only then did the owner personally call and hand-deliver the refund that evening. Based on my research, this appears to be a recurring practice. Public complaints show other consumers waiting for refunds after cancellations. Paradise Exteriors currently has 37 BBB complaints in the past three years yet still holds an A+ rating. And 30 negative reviews on Angie’s and they still have 4.5 stars. These ratings do not help the consumer and I ask that you review your ratings"

"We just finished a spectacular install by Karoly Doors and Windows. It all started with Brandon and the sales presentation. There was no pressure and he was knowledgeable and kind, which made us feel confident in our decision to chose them. I had timely notifications on the arrival of my hurricane windows and sliding glass doors and prompt scheduling once they arrived. We were so excited to get on the schedule and the office streamlined everything. Bo and William were two of the nicest, professional, and hard working installers imaginable. Picasso could not of installed these windows more perfectly! They were clean and took their time, the caulking looks like artwork to me! What a great company, I am so happy we chose them. I would give 10 stars if I could."

"My experience with Perkins Concrete, from the initial estimate to the final inspection, was very positive. I received 4 estimates to replace the cracked, pitted, sunken concrete floor in my 97-year-old detached garage. Warren Perkins was the only contractor who addressed protecting the building's foundation. Both Warren and his crew were very professional. They arrived on time, and everything went as scheduled. My garage was not a big job, only 400 square feet, yet Warren communicated throughout the process. There were no surprises. As I hoped, the floor sloped very slightly downward to the outside. Also, as requested, the final floor was very smooth and ready for polishing/sealing. See before and after pics for comparison. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. Their workmanship and attention to detail are very impressive. I highly recommend Perkins Concrete and would hire them again."

"Positive reviews often highlight the best parts of a business, but they don’t tell the full story. The real test of a company is how they respond when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, when things went wrong with Tropical Paver Sealing, they didn’t rise to the occasion. I hired Tropical Paver Sealing, for a paver sealing job that included pressure washing my pool deck. During the service, the technician, Bowen, got distracted and ended up stripping the paint from the base of my pool enclosure, leaving it exposed to rust. Amanda, the owner, came out to inspect the damage, took videos, and promised to get back to me that afternoon with a solution. That follow-up never happened, despite me reaching out several times. To add to the frustration, I later found that my pool deck drains were filled with silicon sand used during the sealing process. The drains hadn’t been covered, so the sand just clogged them up. Once again, I reached out to Amanda, but my concerns were ignored. It's easy to get great reviews when everything goes smoothly, but when things go wrong, that’s when a business shows its true colors. Unfortunately, Tropical Paver Sealing didn’t handle the situation well at all, and Amanda was completely unresponsive. Based on this experience, I can’t recommend them. What could’ve been a simple fix turned into silence and neglect."

"I am always amazed when reading nitpicking reviews from others knowing how great of a job a company did for me as Indigo has done. Heads up folks, construction jobs always have a few challenges. It isn't that they occur, but how they are handled. I choose Indigo Pools based upon their proven track record as I did a ton of research. I especially appreciated the total transparency from Chris when quoting the job. Line by line detailed pricing and options. Are they the cheapest? No, but competitive.Remember folks, you get what you pay for. They did an amazing job and backed up everything they did. Most of the construction "hiccups" were due to our wanting last minute changes and redos. We totally changed the tile on the outside of our spa. We chose glass tile and didn't like it, received a quote for a removal and switch to ledger stone . We also decided to pour a cement under deck well into the job to extend the existing cement deck rather than placing the pavers on compacted dirt and rock to avoid any settling. Again, our choice and the process was seamless. Chris may be matter of fact, but not snobby by any stretch of the imagination as I read in another review. I am a V.P. of sales for a fairly decent sized company and appreciated his professionalism and transparency. He didn't try to up sell me or persuade my our choices of materials, but advised us of the benefits and other options regarding our choices. Chris actually helped us save money by having us come in to review what we had chosen to be certain it was what we wanted. He assisted us in choosing a less expensive glass water edge tile than originally chosen. I am a HUGE pain in the rear bordering on being a bit of a di%k at times when dealing with any work done around my house, but they took it all in stride making me appreciate them even more. The owner Pat made accommodations based upon my many changes and even assisted in ordering additional ledger stone for a decorative wall I was building to eventually install a fireplace.. After the install Indigo felt that the air in my spa jets weren't sufficient, although I had no real problem with it, and installed an air pump system at no cost to increase air bubbles in the spa jets. Jesse, who does maintenance and was also part of the installation team is nothing short of fantastic. Such a good guy and patiently educated me on everything needed to maintain the pool. He's come back a few times to help me with various things and is always a welcome sight. Really, really good guy. I appreciated Indigo's work so much that I drove from Sarasota to Venice to buy my new Weber gas grill from them. Weber sets the price so they all cost the same wherever you buy the grill from. I could have gotten free shipping directly to my home, I wanted to give them the business and drove from Sarasota to Venice to buy it from them. If you are looking for a new pool or any type work done on an existing pool you could not make a better choice than Indigo. We are beyond pleased and would recommend them in a second. I'll surely be using them for maintenance after I get tired of doing it myself. This is a great company. Feel confident in choosing them for your pool install or remodel. We are really, really happy."
