Patio pools...I have only good things to say about them... reasonably priced, excellent on schedule and quality...and very accommodating...my pool is in warranty now..and don't see any issues so far... Kudos to salesperson Thomas and Construction manager Matt for being on top of every issue and providing the prompt resolution..

Run, run, run from this company !!! They want all of their money up front. Why? Because if they didn’t they would never get paid for a job. Awful customer service and reliability. They are unresponsive to customers and untruthful. Do yourself a favor and do your homework on this place . Read the real reviews . Stay away from them !!!

Construction in general and pool construction specifically is never easy and my take is you get out what you put in as a customer. We met with several builders and had a pretty clear idea what we wanted going into the process. Pool builders are slammed right now in Florida and just getting people to return a call or email is an undertaking. They are busy and it is a weird feeling when you're looking to spend tens of thousands of dollars on something and you can't get anyone to even entertain taking your money. But that is the market at least in Tampa so get over that shock now. All of our estimates came back within 1% of one another except for one exceedingly low estimate which had to be incorrect (and from one of the worst reviewed local builders, so...). From the start Patio Pools felt honest and like they weren't trying to upsell and they designed exactly what we asked for. I also liked that it was a family owned and operated business. Every builder works with numerous subcontractors so the quality of those subcontractors and the relationship they have with the builder is important. I felt all the subcontractors (who often work for multiple builders) felt good about Patio and they said good things. That was reassuring when you think about a big hole filled with water adjacent to your house. Someone from Patio stopped by after every significant milestone to check on things. There were a few mistakes along the way that we pointed out and in every case they were rectified promptly. I appreciated that. From the start everyone at Patio was very responsive. Texts and phone calls were always returned very promptly and my many questions were answered promptly. Notably I had to ask many questions and be cognizant of the process and sometimes I felt information wasn't supplied unless I asked. So ask I did! Things moved slower than I'd like, but the process was still efficient given a pandemic and relative to other build times I've seen. Everyone at Patio was accurate when they said something was going to happen. It is frustrating to have a construction site in your backyard for months, but the finished product looks great and exactly as we envisioned. All the crews were polite and the quality of work looks good. My advice to anyone thinking about starting this process (and if you're reading the reviews you are) is to be involved. I checked on permits and inspections online with the city, read as much as I could about various finish options available, watched the process as much as I could and constantly asked what was happening next, etc. The end result was worth it and I happily recommend Patio Pools.

We started researching pool companies and after talking to 5 companies we picked Patio Pools. They listened and helped us build a pool we wanted instead of trying to steer us to their preferences to make it easier for them. Every time we asked a question along the way they answered us. We worked with Matt and he was awesome. After our pool was done he came over on his own free time and help us set up and acid wash the deck so we could have it ready for Super Bowl.

STAY AWAY!!!! Worst pool building experience we ever had. We were lied to many times, overpaid for build. Horrible communication. Mostly everybody there is rude especially the owners! If you use them make sure you get everything itemized or you will get screwed! We were told when asked for a itemized bill at the end they didn’t supple one. Poorest customer service ever. Many other pool companies to choose from. I wish someone would have let me know how dishonest this company is.

DO NOT USE PATIO POOLS FOR A REMODEL. Run as far away as you can from Patio Pools. Worst company we have ever dealt with. We contracted with Patio Pools in November 2019 for a full pool remodel (add sun shelf, add in pool umbrella holder, refinish interior) and it’s been nothing but issues ever since. Their contract (shame on us for trusting them) is so one-sided it’s not cost effective to try to take legal action against them. Instead, we will likely be paying another local company to fix Patio Pool’s screw ups. They will never show up on time, their sub-contractors don’t show up on time and forget about their “warranty” because it’s useless. I have dates and times of all communications with everyone from Matt to Jina in their office and NOT ONE PERSON is helpful or even useful in resolving anything. We have an umbrella that wobbles in any direction over 6” each way and frankly, looks rigged at best. They don’t care that the work is shoddy and state that’s what they install in all pools so basically, deal with it even though their own worker (Kenny) came out to see it and stated it didn’t look right to him. The umbrella holder is missing a cap too but no one there seems to want to admit that either. The pool finish (which was blown by a subcontractor in the DARK literally) is rough in far too many spots and not even around tile edges. They came to smooth wavy stairs and a few of the finish areas one time and broke tiles while they were doing so resulting in our pool having to be partially drained again to fix tiles. We’d call them out again to smooth edges but we’re scared of the additional damage they’d do. The finish coating is still (7 months later) a splotchy mess but every time we asked, we were told it takes time and will even out. I’m guessing at this point, that’s not going to happen. No amount of daily brushing seems to help. We received a warning from the Hillsborough Environmental Protection Commission for how they drained our pool and kept the pump running to keep is drained for weeks and even after telling them what the warning was, they turned around and partially drained our pool improperly again.

Very poor customer service when reported issues. I had a huge deck around the pool with drainage issues and told them I needed that fixed. They removed the French drains and added 2 in deco drains with non-removable covers. The flooding is now worse. My entire patio floods to the back door. They should have installed 4-6 in deco drains with removable tops. I've emailed them photos and videos and they said everything is fine and that it's not their problem when I specifically said it was an issue. Now over a year later, the warranty is up because they let the time go by. Would not recommend since they don't correct their faulty service.

Five Star Service!!! So happy we chose Patio Pools to put our dream pool in. Flawless process from start to finish. We got bids from 6 pool companies and Matt sold us on Patio Pools. He walked us thru the entire process step by step so we understood everything. All crews in and out were great. The process went smooth and in the timely manner we were promised. The end result is beautiful! We love our pool and so happy we choose Patio, they were amazing!!

After careful evaluations of all - and I mean all - the pool builders in Tampa we settled on Patio Pools. I am absolutely thrilled we did, because not only did this company fulfil their quality promises, but equally important, they fulfilled their schedule promises, and completed my pool within what I consider phenomenal timing. One of their sale points is you will not have a crew in your backyard for months, but within an average of 30 days from the permit being issued. I would like to point out that a gentlemen at my place of employment used another well known pool builder in Tampa and they started his pool 3 weeks before we even got our permit and after more than 2 months later, all he has is a hole in the ground in his backyard and broken promises. That says it all; like most men, in fact like most consumers overall, when spending thousands of dollars we want to see results and steady progress until the product is completed. That's exactly what we got with Patio Pools. While they have some constraints in putting a definitive schedule in writing - you can't blame theme as sh#$ happens - their promises of 30 days after permit and contract verbiage of getting the project completed within reasonable time was just about on the mark! We had a concrete pool, paver deck, and pool cage installed with the kind of precision and timeliness you'd expect from an A+ BBB rated company with over 30 years in the business and only 1 complaint, that they adequately addressed I might add. Okay enough of my gushing with joy over my Patio Pool experience. it's "Island Time" and I'm going to enjoy my pool like a New Yorker stuck in paradise!

We contracted with Patio Pools to refinish our 25-year-old pool. They sub-contracted with an independent contractor to do the prep work, and with Florida Pool Finishers to do the surface. The job was started in February. It is now September and our pool surface has dark spots all over it. This is the story with photos of the bad job that they both did on our pool, and the horrible job they have done to this point standing behind their work and warranty. [*** Link removed ***]

Patio Pools built a beautiful pool at a reasonable price in the timeframe promised.

Our backyard paradise! We can't say enough wonderful things about the amazing job Patio Pools provides us! From the first meeting with Nancy we knew this was the company. Not only did they deliver on all promises made, they completed our Island Oasis in sooner than expected! We highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent quality work, with an attentive, polite and wonderful staff!

The pool leaked and cracked, patio pool refused to repair, and would not honor their warranty.

Pool has never looked better.

We had our pool installed in Sept 2012 and so far no significant problems at all. Nancy Corley was instrumental in helping us with design, size, color etc. She did not try to talk us into anything and knew exactly what we were looking for. Actually, I wanted a bigger pool and she was honest enough to discourage us from that. It turned out she was right as we couldn't be happier with the results. We needed a minor repair done on our pavers a few days ago and Matt in the warranty department was right on it. They did a super job. They guarantee 21 days for installation and actually it was finished before that. Lightning aluminum did the screen enclosure and it looks wonderful. So far so good!!

The pool turned out really nice. We were really happy with the results. Any issues or questions we had were immediately addressed.  The price was fair and competitive with other companies.

Our pool pump was getting louder and our pool service advised us that the bearings were going south and recommended replacing the motor and gave us an estimate. We consulted Patio Pools on Gunn Hwy and spoke to Robert, the manager. He agreed motor replacement was a good alternative and proceeded to ask for detailed info on the year, make and model, our needs and verified for us the price offered by the pool service was reasonable. He further helped us understand that given the age of the pool pump model we might consider another alternative for longer term. He took the time to describe the cost and benefits of both alternatives. So given the fine work in the past that Patio Pools has done for us, we went with them and a newer model at more cost, but much better efficiency, quieter, good warranty and we just felt more comfortable with Patio Pools given their reputation and track record with us.
James did a fantastic job installing and basically did a running tutorial on basic operation, care and maintenance while he installed the thing. He also gave us additional tips like adjusting the skimmer intake flow for this new pump model to get those efficiencies we spoke of earlier w/Robert and where to get the right hose plus how to drain or reduce the water in the pool.
My wife and I highly recommend Patio Pools based on their extensive experience, ability and patience to explain several alternatives given our needs and for their quality services and products we've received on two occasions.

We hired this company to resurface our outdoor pool in Tampa, Florida. The service cost was reasonable. The work, of which I am no judge, I am told was done reasonably well.
The huge problem was aftercare. They had not told us at all what aftercare would be required. This turned out to be rather complicated...We had told the agent we are just moving to Florida and have no idea about pools. We had no idea aftercare was necessary.
After the job was done, they handed us the instruction sheets. They stressed that unless the aftercare was done properly, the result would not be good. They do not do any aftercare, so we had to frantically search and scramble to find another company to do this at substantial expense.
Later, we called our rep repeatedly, he at times did not return phone calls, we had to call again and again for any response we could understand. I had to go back to their office twice myself. Finally, 5 weeks later, there was staining in the pool. So the pool needed some chemical treatment. This company should have taken care of it and they kind of said yes but it did not happen. I had to spend $450 to get my pool company. I did call them and expressed my dissatisfaction.
The pool analysis guy was supposed to come 3 weeks later to shock the pool. He never showed up.
I have now learnt that several people had similar experience, and poor follow up has been brought to the attention of this company. It certainly did not help me. Our agent was a Mr. Robert Foster. Someone told me he is the company VP.

We had Patio Pools come out and bid on our pool services. We had 5
different companies come out and bid this. We were wanting a very large
deck and a large pool. Patio Pools were right in line with pricing from
other pool places. There were other cheaper ones but they were not able
to send us designed 3D pictures of what everything was going to look
like. This was important to us as we needed to be able to visualize,
plus we felt some of the things Patio Pools were doing were more high
quality.
We finally decided on Patio Pools to build our pool. We went to their
location and sat with Nancy for quite some time figuring out the brick
pavers, coping, and tile for the pool. She was very helpful, friendly,
and patient.
After reading some reviews we were worried about problems arising and
not being able to get any help with them. Nancy provided us with the
cell # of Robert and Matt the site managers. Both Robert and Matt were
extremely helpful and professional throughout the process.
Overall we were very satisified with our deck, our pool, and our new
aluminum panel roof. Everything was done timely and with quality.
The only complaint I would have as silly as it is would be the fact that
the workers used my yard as a trash can and did not pick the trash up
when they left for the day. They did end up cleaning everything up when
the project was done, but I dont throw trash in my yard and did not like
the fact that they did.
However with all that being said I would absolutely recommend this company do remodel or even build your new pool

There were a few inevitable very minor glitches which would happen on any job of this proportion, but a call to Robert Foster took care of everything pronto.
Overall we LOVE our remodel and would recommend Patio Pools without reservation.

It was a pretty big job. It was a good experience. Jay Masher was great. He was a big help to us. He helped us in the selection process. I wouldn't know a good job from a bad job and how much it would have cost. Their quality was good.

They were very professional and quick. They got the job done and it seems to be pretty good. We had some problems afterwards but they tried to resolve the issues. The initial process was good. It was a good experience.
