"So far so GREAT! Coast to Coast came and installed my new AC and Furnace about a month ago. The pricing was much better than two other quotes I received. In addition, the unit had a better seer rating than the other quotes so I will receive a rebate from City of Ocala on the AC unit, which I would not have gotten with the other units. They completed the forms for me for both gas and electric rebates. From the day they came out to give me a quote to installation by Tony, Fred, Taylor and Chris, to the ladies at the office who prepared my rebates, I am grateful for an excellent job done. Now just waiting for the inspector to get scheduled and come so I can take the envelope off my front window. Who says you can only get two of the three? I got all three great Quality, Cost, Service."

RunTru (Made By Trane) 60K BTU Gas Furnace, 3.5 ton Evaporator Coil installed in a Garage. Runtru offers Trane reliability and performance at an economical price.
Before and after. Along with installing a new Tem4 air handler, we re-built the air handler stand to our liking. It was re-insulated with new fiberglass ductboard and completely mastic sealed. We also make sure our copper looks amazing on every job. No hand bends!

"I recommend this company because of their professionalism and reliability. My AC went out and I have a 15 month old so the AC needed to be fixed. I just bought the house in December 2020 and was told that the AC is an old unit so eventually went out. I had three estimates and two no-shows in the course of a week. Coast to coast were the first to come out on Monday and Friday I had a contract with them. Their estimate was lower than the other three for the same product. They even offered me a portable AC since I had no AC and had a baby in the house. Unfortunately they had no Portable AC but they said instead of two weeks to put your AC in how about this Thursday. That was great. So on Thursday morning at 8:30 Tony started to install my AC. It took them almost 12 hours and everything was installed. Coast to coast is professional, reliable, affordable, dependable, and take pride in their work."

"It was a technician from Patricks Heating and Air Conditioning that came (they are the local representatives of Fast of Florida). He did an excellent job of checking our situation and answered all questions we had. After further consideration, we decided to postpone this project."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

One of the fastest ways to unfreeze an AC unit is to turn off the unit and, if it’s warm outside, use the fan-only mode to help blow warmer air through the unit to speed up the defrosting process. While it may be tempting to use a hair dryer to defrost the air conditioner, that high heat can damage the coils.

After defrosting, if you can safely solve the issue with a fix like changing the filter, go ahead and do so. Otherwise, call in a pro before turning your AC back on.

You can protect your air conditioner in the winter by turning off the power at the thermostat and performing routine HVAC maintenance in the spring. Regular maintenance, cleaning, and repair of your AC unit helps protect it and extend its life span. If you have a window AC unit, remove it from the window and store it in a dry place during the winter. Window units cannot withstand freezing temperatures. Keeping them in your window also allows cold air to seep into your home.

In some cases, yes, portable air conditioners are worth buying. They’re a relatively affordable option for cooling small spaces. (On average, they cost between $100 and $500 per unit.) Plus, they’re easy to set up, and you can move them around to cool various parts of your home as needed. However, they aren’t the most efficient AC option, and they tend to be noisy.

DIY is possible for basic cleaning. Professional services handle advanced maintenance like recharging the refrigerant.

Most units are designed only to cool the house down to 20 degrees less than the temperature outside. This means that if it’s 99 degrees Fahrenheit out and you’re trying to cool your home down to 65 degrees, you’ll notice your AC is struggling.

Lower the blinds on all your windows, turn on your ceiling fans, and keep the thermostat at a consistent temperature to help your AC do its job. Investing in an HVAC maintenance plan also helps because pros will come out to inspect and tune up your unit regularly, keeping it in optimal working condition.
