Had a leaking ice maker water line that was waking. It had no shut off valve and had to call the service Friday night at 6:30 pm . Had to have main water line to house shut off. Therefore could not use any kind of water . They arrived promptly at 7 pm had it repaired professionally with a new shut off valve . Professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Will definitely call them again if needed

We had inspections on our four air conditioning units. The representative was courteous and wore "booties" each time he came into the house. He clearly document with photos all the issues with our systems, but also let us know it was not a crisis situation. We did not have any work done that day, but know how to plan for the future.

I booked this service through HomeDept for AC tuning and inspection. While the technician performed some checks and claimed to have cleaned the drain pipe , it was not done properly. Five days later, the AC unit began leaking. Not only was the drain left uncleaned, but the technician also improperly repositioned the sensor. Because the sensor was out of place, the AC did not shut off when the drain filled up, causing water to leak.
I also have a secondary sensor designed to detect water leaks and trigger an alarm, but it was moved away from the drain pipe, worsening the situation. Unfortunately, we only realized the problem when water started dripping onto the sofa downstairs. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this service to others.

My mom’s AC was giving her some problems, and with her being elderly I wanted to have someone come out and take a look at it. I’ve always heard of RedCap via commercials on TV. So I gave them a shot and they had someone come out and checked it. Beau Scholz was the technician that came out and he found the problem right away. He was very attentive and polite. He solved our problem and offered some suggestions to avoid the problem from happening again. I will be using RedCap for future AC concerns.

Scheduled a service trip to recharge freon and find leak. The tech instead tried to sell me the following: Capacitor - $677.00 Warranty on capacitor - $724.00 Surge protector - $724.00 Refrigerent - $431.00 Leak search - $403.00 U/V lamp - $2,543.00 Filter dryer - $724.00 Total - $6,226.00 My entire HVAC system is only 5 years old. I hired another company who fixed the leak and recharged the system for $400.00

On a service contract which includes a spring and fall system cleaning. Overall, a pleasing client experience. Normally, the invoice for a service contract visit is clear. However, the tech suggested a "Hard Start Kit for A/C / Heat Pump Unit"/start-up capacitor. This would be a separate service item with its own part and labor charges as it does when you take your car to dealership for service. No detail for parts, labor, or any other charge. A clear lack of transparency. Hence, below average invoice /bill. As the link below shows, a "Hard Start Kit for 3.5 to 4.5 Ton A/C Units"/start-up capacitor runs for 50 or no more than $100.00 for the part. Now guess what the total bill for the part was? Did you guess five times the part cost less than one hour to complete the install? There is no itemized cost for the $575.45 charge. What is the $400.00 to $425.00 cost for? [Link Removed]

I was trying to fix the issue of hot water is not reaching to farthest booth room, called Red Cap Plumbing, without hold, I was connected to expert and scheduled visit to my home to assess the situation. I had my entire house repiped more than 2 years ago and this company never got the permit satisfied. I?m in the process of selling my home and I?m certainly glad I found out now! Also, I (had) a service contract with them for over a year for plumbing and HVAC. A scheduled water heater flush was attempted but the employee didnt even bring a hose. I gave him a hose to use and he failed to perform the flush correctly, left a mess and didnt even bother to roll up my hose. The following day I had hvac service scheduled and after about 20 minutes the technician told me I needed 9k in repairs to my existing, perfectly functioning unit. No lie! I told him at that cost I would get a new system to which his reply was, well, nowadays it will cost you at least 19k. No lie!
I cancelled my contract immediately and called another hvac company to inspect my ( perfectly functioning) system and this tech recommended I replace the capacitor on the ac unit. Since then Ive had zero issues. Go figure??

They repaired a leaking faucet that was the main shut off valve for the water to the house. The faucet was 35 years old. Technician did a nice job on the repair and adding an extra faucet/spigot for our use. Only issue we had was the cost. Outrageous. They did discuss the fees in advance so we knew what to expect. But with the leak slowly flooding the area, we didn't want to wait for mutiple quotes.

My 80yo mother purchased a brand new central A/C system along with the warranty costing $10,000+ from Red Cap. Red Cap installed mismatched handler and compressor parts of a system that has been discontinued. I have had to call Red Cap at least 20 times in the last 3 years. I have called them on a weekly basis over the past several months. Each appointment being a 7 hour window, meaning I have to waste an entire day waiting, after waiting days for the appointment. The A/C will work for a few days. When the technicians leave they often say, ‘It is going to happen again’’. There is never a solid solution. Red cap has offered 8 years free parts and labor instead of a refund or a new system. However, the waste of my time and being relentlessly inconvenienced for years now is beyond unacceptable. Trying to remediate mold while the A/C is creating splashing puddles as it drips from the ceiling CREATING MORE MOLD in the garage is especially horrifying. BEWARE!!!!!
