"It went very well; the thorough HVAC system checkup revealed some questionable component that were best suggested to be replace with new ones. I am not confident that my HVAC system is set for more that good performance going forward. I appreciated the non-pressured advice and suggestions in coming to my decisions. Thank you, Joaquin Ortiz."

"It went amazing! Diego assembled a crew of four incredibly hard working guys who came out two days later (Monday), and removed our old system and installed the new one (compressor, furnace, and coil) in a few hours. It was a life saver! The price was very reasonable (I'd previously replaced an AC and furnace at an old house, and paid a couple thousand more). He was on time, worked his butt off, and did great work. He also gave a five year guarantee on anything broken for labor, and the AC and furnace come with 10 years parts that he will coordinate. I will definitely call him again for anything!"

"The team of four was very professional and performed an excellent job in a record period of time. Just one day to take the old furnace away, replace all the old boots and duct work and install the new furnace. They paid a lot of attention not to damage or dirty the floor/carpet. I am very happy with their performance. They may not be the cheapest on the block but it was all worthed and you only have to do that once in your lifetime."

"Pann was knowledgable, responsive, did all work correctly, on time, and within budget. He went above and beyond by taking care of issues he uncovered that we were not aware were there. He worked with us to come up with the idea of installing an Internet closet that made it possible to have less visible cables and cords running on our walls. The finished project works great and I appreciate having a clean look behind my TV stand. Running the new electric to the detached garage was hard work. Pann crawled around under our house to pull the new wiring through. He even worked within our tight schedule of 2 weeks! Again, everything works great and we will definitely hire again for future needs."

"It went very well. I believe they finished it in one day. The price was very fair and lower than the other two places we checked. The heater works spectacularly according to our tenants. The city inspector came out two days ago and gave it his seal of approval and final inspection passed! Luis the owner is an honest man. He is licensed and does great work. I gladly would refer him to anyone who needs a new heater or Air conditioner! Thanks Luis...."

"Called these guys for what I thought was a Nest issue, and they discovered that my heat exchanger had cracked and I was better off replacing my very old unit with a new one. They provided me with a proposal the same day and I decided to contact a couple other companies for comparison. They confirmed Jazz's findings and provided me their quotes as well. Jazz's bid was very competitive and I was happy to give them my business. On install day, Jazz showed up with two other gentlemen and they wrapped up the installation in one day. System works great. Thanks so much Jazz!"

"I've had Ron service our in-unit furnace for several years now and have always found him extremely conscientious and professional. He also replaced the furnace a couple of years back when it broke and that bigger job also went very well, with a cost that is in line with prices quoted on the Internet. Unlike some other contractors where the agreed time is just an indication of when you can expect to start waiting, Ron has often called on the day to ask if he can show up early, which is great because I'm not waiting around all day."

Install Boiler FAQs, answered by experts

Costs depend on issue severity, parts needed, and labor rates.

The main difference between an outdoor wood furnace versus an outdoor wood boiler is what each appliance is heating. An outdoor wood furnace burns wood to create heat, which warms the air and moves it through the ducts in your home. An outdoor wood boiler uses the heat from burning wood to warm water, which goes through pipes to radiators in the home.

There are several types of home radiators, and the most common are steam heat radiators, electric radiators, and dual-fuel radiators. Steam heat radiators are connected to a boiler. Electric radiators can operate without being connected to anything else—they just need an electrical outlet. If you have a dual-fuel radiator, you’ll see a valve at the bottom of the system with a wire coming out of it and going into a wall. These are often your towel radiators in the bathroom. The type of radiator you have will impact how you turn it on.

If you hear your radiator clanking even when it’s turned off, it’s typically because there’s trapped water or air in the system, causing a pressure buildup. When you hear significant clanking, popping, crackling, or banging in a radiator that’s turned off, you’ll want to bleed the pipes or call in an HVAC specialist to deal with the problem (and prevent it from happening in the future).

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.
