"Western Rooter to the rescue again! I had a small underground leak which appeared to be due to a bad sprinkler valve. A sprinkler repair company determined that it was not a bad sprinkler valve and thought it was due to a leak in the main water line. Daniel and Alex dug down to find that the leak was coming from a very old (at least 36 years) broken pvc line. After much testing and head scratching to try to figure out where the water was coming from, they decided to "chase the pipe." After much digging, they found that the very old broken pvc pipe was hooked up to a sprinkler valve that was buried 18 inches underground that had not been capped--only turned off. Roots from a nearby tree had opened the valve which caused the leak--crazy! The current sprinkler system has been the same one since we moved into the house in 1988. It took 36 years for the underground leak to occur!"

"The gas pipe repair was overpriced 770 in my opinion although it was completed without the need to follow up within the day and they did show up as they promised. The leaking riser section pipe was underground only 6 inches and the entire excavation was about 18 in long x 6 in wide x 8 in deep approx, done by hand tool. He spent more time trying to upsell me a full length underground pipe replacement and trenching than talking about the repair at hand. When I toyed with the idea of a new line above ground without the excavation cost, he described the most absurd design of mounting the new line 3 feet off the ground to show me how ugly and indicated that is the regulation, which is not true. The line and certainly touch ground."

"This was a difficult project, owing to the no-cripple-wall construction of my house and the ridiculously tight crawl space - less than a foot in critical spots - plus the maze of beams and ducts. They didn't have to do that since they had a signed contract in hand, but they were willing to take care of a customer. Thumbs up for that. The work looks solid, as far as this layman can tell. Everything drains as it should and none of the joints leak."

"Mario is a professional in irrigation systems and I learned a lot just from listening to him. He has quite and extensive knowledge about sprinkler systems, water flow rates, etc. What I thought was a leak at one of my sprinkler heads turned out to be much more. There was no leak at that head, however, Mario knew enough to shut off the rest of the heads. Sure enough the lead was back by the patio, coming from one of the old cheap pvc pipes that break and crack easy. If he didn't know how to find and properly repair that leak, I probably would have spent back breaking hours look for it and never finding it.
