"Like Greg G said in the comments, it feels like there is something strange going on with this company when it comes to billing and communication. My landlord booked a chimney cleaning. As the tenant, I was the person to open the door and let the people in. I confirmed with them that they had all of the billing information for the landlord, and they said they did. Over the next year I kept getting emails asking for me to pay the bill and I kept providing them the billing information for the landlord. They never responded, just ignored me and then threatened to send to collections. I had to call and email over twenty times to get this resolved, when this was their mistake in the first place. I would avoid this company, incredibly surprised to find all of my emails and calls ignored. I had to get a lawyer involved to finally put an end to this. You have been warned, do not use Tahoe Chimney & Fireplace as a renter, even if the landlord is paying, they will still try to bill you rather than the landlord who booked the service!"

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Ensures safety and compliance with local codes, preventing leaks and related hazards.

You may want to remove the gas line if it’s unsightly or if it’s causing a problem with future appliances. The downside is if you decide to go back to gas, you would need to run a new gas line to the area.  The average cost to run a new gas line is $550, but the installation can range anywhere from $120 to $1,350.

Having the right size pipe ensures proper drainage and helps protect against clogs and other plumbing problems. A pipe that's too small will take longer to drain, which can result in backups. And solids can build up in pipes that are too large. Choosing a pipe with the appropriate volume also means it will be able to handle water pressure, which is the force behind the water.

Yes, you can store a propane tank, whether it is full or empty. Remember that the container is contaminated with hazardous materials once it has housed propane, but as long as it’s properly placed in a well-ventilated, temperature-controlled space, a tank is unlikely to cause issues whether it is full of propane or not.

This is a matter of personal preference, as each method has its own pros and cons. Oil furnaces are safer, but the smell can be off-putting to some consumers. Oil is also more expensive than gas. However, oil furnaces boast a higher BTU rate per hour, so a smaller amount of oil can heat a larger space when compared to a gas furnace.
