They showed up on time to give the quote and to perform the services.
They cleaned up and hauled away all of the debris, which filled there huge dump truck to overflowing.
They had to bring in equipment via the back fence. They removed a part of the fence and put it back perfectly when finished. They even filled the voids in the area around the fence after they pulled the junipers to ensure the fences integrity.

They were very friendly and professional. They didn't even mind my elderly mom quizzing them all day.
I would recommend them to and I will hire them again.
Mike and his team showed up on time, prepared for the crane and had the whole job done in 2 hours 15 minutes.
They were all very professional, cleaned up and left the yard in good condition.
I'd DEFINITELY recommend Battle Born Tree Service to all my neighbors.
They bid it quickly ... a bit below another bid. I liked their attitude and went with them on the spot. They showed up exactly when they said they would; did it in the time they said they would. They did it safely and involved me in needed minor decisions. They honored the Angie's list discount they offered; cleaned up everything perfectly. In. Out. Done. Done right.
Look, you can get a cheaper deal -- lots of tree companies hire low level workers, pay them poorly, cut corners, and take risks (with their workers and with your property). I've seen tree cowboys work ... in fact I've hired them. Any idiot with a chain saw can cut down a tree. But then I end up spending days cleaning up their messes, not to mention the panic I feel when they do risky things, or the sadness I feel when I see how they treat their workers (tree companies need a lot of lower level workers and some treat them horribly). That's why I watched the Los Verdes crew work before hiring them. I did not want to take risks on such a big and dangerous job. Bringing them in was a good call. If you understand the difference between value and price, consider these guys.
My one minor ding. I had a tree fort up in the tree. They asked me to get rid of the fort mess after it came down. OK, I get that, sort of. It's not a tree. But then I unexpectedly got rid of 50% of the wood for them (my yard guy took it) and I asked them to reconsider getting rid of the fort. They said OK, but asked for $200 more to do it. I declined ... it felt a little stingy to be honest. After they were finished it just took me an hour with a chain saw, my truck, and a $25 fee at the dump to deal with it ... no biggie. But then if a 62 year old man can do it that fast and easy, why the "no" from them? With all their equipment and workers this is a 2 minute job for them.
I think this may be the negative side of the very positive review above. Part of their professionalism is that they set limits.
Another related example. They could not guarantee a cherry tree would not be harmed when the big tree came down. I pushed but they pushed back on the grounds that the methods to save the cherry tree were themselves dangerous (after watching the tree work itself I saw why that was correct). OK, so I had my yard guy dig it out before the big tree came down and then put it back in after the tree was felled. And as it turned out it would indeed have been smashed.
Another related example. I tried to get them to cut down just the top of the tree and leave the tree fort. They said they would, but they would have to bring the tree down in a more expensive way due to safety issues. Again that seemed fair. I decided to lose the fort.
So my conclusion is that they will be very straight with you and keep their word ... but don't expect a quick "yes" to anything you suggest. They are not that hungry. All in all, for me these issues mostly fall into a class of professionalism. They were nice guys but they knew what would work and what would not and they set limits. And almost all of it felt solid in the end ... all except the tree fort. That was such a small thing on a rather large job it would have been more graceful to bend on the "other garbage is not our responsibility" rule and save me a minor hassle. Angie's List does not have a plus and minus rating but on that basis I mentally downgrade them from an A+ to a solid A. I would rehire them anytime though. In fact, with 7 huge aging cottonwoods left, I'm pretty sure I will.
The crew set up signs in the street warning traffic. They all wore safety goggles and hard hats. They were very efficient. I am very happy with my choice.
