After reading a review of ABL Chimney Sweep on Angie's List, we called the owner, Lee Squire, for an appt to clean and check the fireplace and chimney in a home we bought last year. Our appt was scheduled for one week later, but Lee then had some time open up the day we called, and asked if we would like the service call that same day. Lee explained that the service call and cleaning would be $90. ABL is a father and son team, and they showed up promptly, went to work right away, and were very careful to protect the area around our fireplace and outside by the chimney. It was obvious they had been working together for some time, and they were pleasant, organized, and efficient. While the chimney and fireplace were in fairly good shape, there were cracks in the chimney cap and chimney shoulder. Lee quoted $125 to repair the cracks, in addition to the $90 cleaning and service call, which I thought was very fair, and the repair was done immediately. Overall, the experience was very good, and I would recommend ABL Chimney Sweep again without hesitation.
