"A friend recommended Nir (the contractor), after the house we just bought started to fall apart. Much of the house was just destroyed. Nir came in and said something like, I will fix your house and make it better than what you bought. And he did. He is professional and kind.
Water line in one part of house had broken, due to high water pressure ( we had not yet moved in). Then a sewerage back up, due to improperly installing sewerage pipes. 4 in. plastic pipes with no valves, instead of 6 in. ABX. There was galvanized pipe directly attached to copper pipes, so also water leaks in the walls. And it goes on and on.
Since so much had to be replaced, elected to also update some of the house.
2 new bathrooms, which are beautifully done. Nir is so good at design, recommendations and what may look good. Made a powder room I would never have imagined and introduced me to Venetian Plaster/paint.
He got an electrician to replace 13 yr old electric panel that had already started sparking/going bad. That led to new recessed lights and fire/CO2 alarm system, new light fixtures and etc.
Fixed all the walls, replaced wood floors and so on that Service Masters had had to pull up or remove. The wood floors are beautiful. His crew were really good.
There is more, but now the house is great and so happy with the work done. It all took about a year +. I would highly recommend Nir, this company to rehab, update or redesign your house.
The sewer line was done by another company. Whole sewerage system out to street had to be replaced. So yes also city permits and inspectors. By the way, the problem with sewerage system was easily visible if you looked.
An aside: Please hire your own home inspector who answers only to you, when buying property. Was a huge mistake in this case. Learned a very valuable lesson. Previous owners, did not do upkeep in at least 9 years. Had a good handyman to make it look good for sale."

"Originally they were very good they just never come back and taken care of any of the other work, they were good at the very beginning, they were on top of every thing at the very beginning but after they did the initial work and they needed to come back an did touch ups they never come back and done anything more, I can't get them to come back and do anything more.
They are way over priced compare to what they should be and I didn't realize it at the time but when I found out afterwards it was too late."

"Sky renovation was easy to communicate with. They were punctual and very attentive to all our needs and concerns. I was very pleased with their advice and appreciated their honesty in creating a working design that fit our needs. Finally, we never felt that they were trying to "up-sell" us on more expensive designs or work that was not necessary. I will be working with them again."

"T&D Construction was fantastic to work with. They had come highly recommended by a friend, and I couldn't be more happy with the results. I had my initial ideas about what I'd like to do to give the backyard some much needed updating. When I met initially with JR Delgadillo, the owner, he understood my vision as well as made suggestions that could save money in some areas and allow for additional upgrades. The demolition crew came in and had the pool, pool deck and old concrete patio demolished in a flash it seemed. It's a little unnerving to have jackhammers going and a bobcat going in and out of the backyard, but in just 4 days the transformation was becoming evident. They replastered the pool, put in new tile, coping, paving stone deck and new patio. With the savings, I was able to add two planter walls which I hadn't even considered. The workers were clearly very skilled at what they were doing and extremely respectful whenever I came around watching or asking questions. The lot itself creates some unusual spaces to work with and once everything was underway, there were a couple of minor changes I wanted to make. JR was very accommodating to my wishes. I've had other home remodel work done where the contractor just wanted to hurry and finish and had no consideration for the integrity of the project. This was a complete success from start to finish. I found JR to be extremely knowledgeable, proficient and very importantly he was easy to work with...a good guy. I recommend T&D Construction without reservation for any of your hardscape needs."

"I thought it went pretty well, my only issues were with some of the timeliness and miscommunications with some of the crew hired when the contractor was not around. But these were minor instances. For the majority of the time, the crews were timely and knew what to work on. The timeliness was really about arriving to our area (in the south bay) and some of the crews were coming from the Valley, so they had heavy traffic.
We had work going on at our house from about Aug-December and the contractor was always available (via email or phone) to answer questions, the always gave us estimates about how much everything would cost and the time it would take to get done.
We are first time home buyers, so we don't have much experience, but the contractor, made the process pretty easy for us. It turned out to be more work that we anticipated, but I think that is not surprising because we basically ended up remodeling the entire kitchen, we gutted everything and redid the electrical (with another vendor) and plumbing (also another vendor). Our contractor was very helpful, we also had to manage all of the people coming in and out, and this also made things go a little slower than I would have liked.
But we were happy with the final result and we felt that the quality of the work provided was good. We were very happy with the final result!"

Installing an outdoor water fountain costs $2,700 on average, not including the cost of the unit. Prices range from $150 to $10,650, depending on your location, the type of fountain, size, and accessibility to the site. Self-contained fountains and water features recirculate the water within the unit. Depending on size and features like multi-tiered cascading bowls, they typically cost from $50 to $5,000. More elaborate fountains with waterfalls and ponds can cost from $450 to $10,000 or more.
Every one to three months, you should perform regular fountain maintenance, including draining, cleaning, and rinsing the components of your fountain basin and the pump and tubing to prevent algae and other buildup. Fountain maintenance also includes keeping the appropriate water level and removing debris like leaves, insects, and twigs from the water to avoid clogging the pump. You can also hire a professional landscaper to clean your fountain for around $50 to $150 per month on average.
Most water features do not use a lot of electricity, averaging between 100 and 250 watts per day. The size of the motor can impact electricity usage. To reduce electricity usage, consider using a timer to turn the fountain off at night and when you’re away from your home. Solar power is another way to defray electricity costs after you recoup the cost of installing the solar components.
You can choose several types of fountains to add to your backyard, ranging in size, number of basins, and special water features.
Check out the price ranges of common fountain types:
Birdbath fountains: $40 to $1,100
Cascading fountains: $40 to $2,000
Tiered fountains: $100 to $6,000
Kugel fountains: $150 to $5,000
Glass wall fountains: $100 to $3,000
