"I always do my homework before hiring someone for a house project, and this was no exception. I had several companies come out for a bid. I ultimately chose Affordable Tile because of Ken's pricing, his other stellar Angie's list reviews, his calm demeanor and his long time expertise in the area of installing tile (decades). He installed a mother of pearl mosaic backsplash, as well as some colorful 6x6 tiles in an inset / niche above the range and I was truly SO happy with the way things turned out! (See pic) Before they started work each day they covered up all my counters and appliances, and before they went home each day everything was vacuumed and cleaned up for the night. Some of my tile arrived late, and whereas other contractors would have gotten all upset, he was very gracious and worked around the delay. I appreciated his flexibility very much. I also really loved his attention to detail. (So did my Marine husband! lol). Ken and Sherri went through tile by tile after grouting to make sure there were no pin holes and no haze left on the tile before sealing the grout. He also always took the time to address any questions I had or any special requests I made. His patient and kind demeanor was a welcome reprieve from the personalities of some contractors. All in all it was a very pleasant experience working with Ken and Sherri...they're good people and I will be having him come back when we re-do our master bath!"

"My wife and I hired California Smartscapes to complete a 100,000 plus landscaping job at our home in Bay Park. As you can tell by the photos it turned out amazing! In fact, it turned out better than we could have anticipated. The guys were very professional and their effort and work ethic was first class. The team lead by project manager Sal were very responsive to our requests and were there to answer any questions we had. We are excited to spend our weekends and nights outside BBQing, enjoying the fire pit and watching sports! I will say there is no one more excited than our labradooble, Callie! "While they were up there cleaning the gutters they told me about the deterioration of all the sealants on the air vents, the chimney and exhaust fans on the roof. They took pictures and showed me and I had them redo all the sealants. I have a feeling that that was a smart way for them to get some more work (most people aren't aware of the damage the Ca sun can do). It was the owner of the company and his son that did all the work and they were clean, pleasant and professional. When the 1st rains came after the work was done I suddenly remembered a small leak we had had in our bathroom and IT WAS NO LONGER THERE!! I was very happy with the work they did and would definitely recommend using them."

When we chose to remodel our kitchen we called a few companies and interviewed them wanting ti know what they have go offer. All of them had the same common denominator. .. you should do this and get that and it will cost you. Dont worry we will take care of it. But THEN we met with Mikey from YFC and the tables had turned. Mikey actually came in and started to interview us gathering information of what we wanted and what we were lacking and asked us for a wish list a need list and budget in mind. Then within 20 minutes or so he showed us a wonderful new kitchen design with the modern looking cabinets and granite counter tops. just when we thought this is it and its great Mikey looked at us and said outloud "OK LETS CUSTUMIZE IT TO YOU NEEDS"

As soon as he was done he gave us a breakdown of the cost of project and smiling we said "let's do it" For the next 3 weeks gabi and the crew came in on a daily basis at 8:00AM sharp and totally transformed our old and dated kitchen that Mikey designed into a beautiful and functional kitchen that we just love.

Mikey was with us to help pick and choose our fixtures and hard surfaces. I can comfortably say that we will use Mikey and YFC in the future. And yes, Mikey IS my favorite contractor!

"From the time I contacted Kevin to the time the job was completed, SGB was fantastic.  I needed a very small master bathroom in an old house gutted and built from the ground up.  As this is a rental, my budget was very limited.  Kevin told me what he could do and what I would provide so he could meet the price I requested.  Kevin, along with his team worked miracles.  There were some plumbing issues that came up and Kevin handled all of them by communicating with me and giving me honest and accurate estimates of how much time this would put us back.  Not living in the house while the work was being performed was a new thing for me and I was nervous about workers being in the home when I was not.  My fears were unfounded.  Kevin and his team only used the french door leading to the bedroom and taped the bedroom door closed so dust and people couldn't use the rest of the house.  The work site was kept spotless.
The master bath turned out more beautifully than I could have imagined.  Amazing results with the budget I gave him.   As with any project, things go wrong ~ and they did in this case also. The door was put on "backwards", swinging the opposite way we had talked about.  I called Kevin and he was out there within a couple days to completely redo it.  It was a whole day job and he and his team completed it beautifully and timely, even though I know it affected his schedule.  I plan to use SGB for renovations to my new home.  Thank you Kevin and Angelo and team.

"Pacific Green was always on time and the project was completed much faster than I thought it would be. They completely removed the plants, drip system, weed barrier and mulch. Then they sprayed weed killer and let it sit a couple days. Then came the new weed barrier, drip system, plants and mulch; all of upgraded quality compared to the previous installation. At our first meeting they determined the scope of the project including plant requirements and gave me a ballpark estimate. They brought me pictures of a range of plants that fit my needs. I chose the ones I wanted, we agreed on the price and work began. They had me inspect at each stage of the job. It turned out so well that 2 of my neighbors have signed contracts with Pacific Green."
