"I always do my homework before hiring someone for a house project, and this was no exception. I had several companies come out for a bid. I ultimately chose Affordable Tile because of Ken's pricing, his other stellar Angie's list reviews, his calm demeanor and his long time expertise in the area of installing tile (decades). He installed a mother of pearl mosaic backsplash, as well as some colorful 6x6 tiles in an inset / niche above the range and I was truly SO happy with the way things turned out! (See pic) Before they started work each day they covered up all my counters and appliances, and before they went home each day everything was vacuumed and cleaned up for the night. Some of my tile arrived late, and whereas other contractors would have gotten all upset, he was very gracious and worked around the delay. I appreciated his flexibility very much. I also really loved his attention to detail. (So did my Marine husband! lol). Ken and Sherri went through tile by tile after grouting to make sure there were no pin holes and no haze left on the tile before sealing the grout. He also always took the time to address any questions I had or any special requests I made. His patient and kind demeanor was a welcome reprieve from the personalities of some contractors. All in all it was a very pleasant experience working with Ken and Sherri...they're good people and I will be having him come back when we re-do our master bath!"

"My wife and I hired California Smartscapes to complete a 100,000 plus landscaping job at our home in Bay Park. As you can tell by the photos it turned out amazing! In fact, it turned out better than we could have anticipated. The guys were very professional and their effort and work ethic was first class. The team lead by project manager Sal were very responsive to our requests and were there to answer any questions we had. We are excited to spend our weekends and nights outside BBQing, enjoying the fire pit and watching sports! I will say there is no one more excited than our labradooble, Callie! "It was better than my highest expectations! Jose & his workman were on time and never stopped working. His estimates on time and material were exactly how it came out. I needed a ditch filled with dirt along a new back fence. Not only did he have the dirt delivered and filled the ditch, but he transplanted some large container plants and power washed the whole walkway & patio they had transversed with the dirt. He is very knowledgeable about plants & an excellent communicator in English & Spanish. I’d hire him again in a minute! It was a joy to have Lopez Landscaping! !"

"While they were up there cleaning the gutters they told me about the deterioration of all the sealants on the air vents, the chimney and exhaust fans on the roof. They took pictures and showed me and I had them redo all the sealants. I have a feeling that that was a smart way for them to get some more work (most people aren't aware of the damage the Ca sun can do). It was the owner of the company and his son that did all the work and they were clean, pleasant and professional. When the 1st rains came after the work was done I suddenly remembered a small leak we had had in our bathroom and IT WAS NO LONGER THERE!! I was very happy with the work they did and would definitely recommend using them."

After receiving  home improvement magazine in the mail, my husband and I decided that it was time we had our bathroom remodeled. We had called a few companies and one of them just happened to be "your Favorite  Contractor", with a name like that how could you not want to call. We called them up to set up an appointment and had a time set for a design consultation. We met with Mike the head designer and let me tell you, I was delighted by the ideas and suggestion he had come up with, as opposed to others he listened to what we wanted and just tweaked the design to make it more user friendly, even the price was appealing. we then set a date to start and two weeks later we had a completed new bathroom that we just love. "The crew arrived at 10:00 AM as promised. They scoped the area to determine the proper method for removal and without affecting the neighbors on any side. Once they were comfortable with the way to precede, they took down the old lanais and cleared away the debris. They fully cleaned and swept the area before completing the job. The estimate was what they charged and they were finished in only a couple of hours. I was quite pleased."
