"Marv came, same day as I called and checked out what may be a leak in my garden fountain. He gave me a suggestion to make sure that the problem with the fountain is actually a leak within the fountain or something else. He did not charge me for his time. Would definitely hire in the future."

"Kyle Jaeger called same day I listed my project and made and came over the next morning on time. We discussed the details, agreed on a price and he came by on Monday and arrived on time. He immediately began to work without a break completing the project in about 3 hours. He cleaned all the fountain parts, re-stained all the tiers. He also stained a couple of items that were not part of the project. At the conclusion of the project Kyle turned on the fountain and it was operating at peak efficiency. Kyle was very professional, courteous and very personable. We would hire him and his company if we have anther project of this type. Overall we were extremely pleased with the outcome and would enthusiastically recommend this company for pool, fountain, and waterfall projects. wit"

"Mr. Choi is a second generation owner. He and his team helped with demolition, root and lawn removal, grading, plant and flower installation, mulching, irrigation, and retaining wall construction. All excellent, with polite listening to clients and thoughtful recommendations of alternatives. We are proud of our yard and pleased to recommend him."

"Craig is wonderful to work with, very professional, and cared about his project more than myself. He responded to my inquiry right away, was at my house the following day and his price was so reasonable I signed the contract that evening and we had a amazing waterfall in our backyard within 48 hours. Everyone who visits my house wants one and I keep referring them to Lunaquatics."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Koi fish should be in the shade and can’t be directly exposed to the sun. Consider building your koi pond in a shaded spot or hanging an awning over the top to control the amount of sunlight coming in. Learn how to design a landscape properly.

In short, yes, a pond can add to your home’s value. However, whether it adds value will depend on the condition and aesthetic of your pond. Having this feature already built into a yard’s home can be appealing to homebuyers who value its aesthetic and would prefer not to build it themselves. But if it is not kept in good condition, it could turn buyers away.

To maintain your pond, you’ll need to occasionally clean your backyard pond, especially if you have koi fish. Test the water twice a week to make sure your fish have everything they need and always remove visible debris.

When deep cleaning your koi pond, transfer fish to a clean, uncontaminated container at least one foot deep, like a large bucket, tub, or kiddie pond. Fill the container with their existing pond water to avoid shocking them, and place the container in full or partial shade. When it’s time to reintroduce them into the pond, slowly add the new water to the container before adding the fish and container water back into the pond.

Yes, your fish should stay alive in a frozen pond if you winterize it properly. By ensuring your pond has enough oxygen, good water quality, and a hole to release harmful gases, your pond and fish have the best chance of staying alive and healthy. However, if you have tropical fish, they should be overwintered indoors.
