"Tony and crew were great. The appropriate door was installed beautifully and the fence was fixed better than new. They were prompt, work was done quickly and thoroughly. We are also having him quote on doing our bathrooms and floors. In the quote process he gave recommendations to improve what we want done. This is intended to be a great recommendation."

"Nathan and his team did an amazing job! The kitchen feels 50% larger though the square footage is the same, and the work was impeccable. Everything was on time or early, and on budget other than upgrades that we requested. Nathan's design sense is exquisite. The team was neat, organized, and even very kind to our elderly dog who seemed to enjoy watching all the activity. I have absolutely nothing but the highest praise for Pristine, and will settle for no other company when we need work done to our home again."

"Kristina and Jared are great!  They cleaned our home in a very thorough and professional manner:  dusting, ceiling fans, counter tops and flooring.  They have been arriving on time and complete their work very efficiently.  The products that they bring and use seem to really work, leaving the rooms with a very fresh scent.  We highly recommend this team

"I recently completed my home remodeling project with HIC Builders, and my overall experience has exceeded my expectations. Avi, in particular, showcased extensive knowledge and was an absolute delight to collaborate with throughout the process. The team excelled in providing precise estimates for both budget and timeline. Despite minor setbacks due to city-related delays, they made sincere efforts to compensate for lost time. Having undertaken multiple projects in the past, I can confidently state that this has been the most gratifying working relationship I've had with a contractor. Without a doubt, I plan to engage HIC Builders again for my future projects."

"52 Star Construction did a great job from beginning to end. They came out and listened to what we wanted. They made suggestions on products and design and was very flexible as we considered a large number of options. During construction, their crews were highly professional, polite, skilled, and considerate. We are very, very happy with the end result. We consider it money well spent."

"Josh did a great job on my roofing repair! He showed up when he said he would, and the roof looks great! He also installed some replacement skylights and siding. He sent many pics of the job as I wasn’t able to be there when the work was performed. I will definitely use him again."

"Great service and fair price for the quality of work. Jose was able to create a walk in closet along with the remodel of the master bathroom within the existing space for optimal use. I would definitely recommend West Side Builder to everyone."

FAQs for treehouse building projects in Malibu, CA

The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.

One starting point to find a local home builder is to collect suggestions from friends and neighbors. However, it’s still wise to do some more research before you hire a builder. Read reviews to supplement any word-of-mouth recommendations. Check sources like Angi that have standards and criteria in place to screen the pros it lists can also help you find more reputable local home builders.

Typically, it’s more affordable to buy an existing home than it is to build a new one. New construction loan interest rates tend to be higher than interest rates for traditional mortgages. Additionally, the cost of materials is likely higher when building a new home than it was when an existing home was built (unless it’s a very new one). You’re also paying for all new appliances, finishes, permits, inspections, and connections for water, gas, and electricity.

Knowing if you need an architect for your project can be tricky, especially if you've never worked with one before. In general, small remodeling projects like replacing fixtures typically don't require the expertise of an architect. However, larger projects, like moving walls or adding an addition to your home, should include an architect to ensure the project is structurally sound.

The cost to build a detached garage for two cars costs about $26,400 on average. Prices range from $19,200 to $33,600, depending on your location, the garage size, height, materials, and site prep required. Additional cost factors include any plumbing, electrical wiring, and insulation. If you need to build a concrete foundation for a new detached garage, you can expect to pay $1,000 to $8,600 for this essential addition.
