Straight forward

Derek, the owner of Local Home Services, Inc, did an outstanding job for me. I would definitely hire him again in the future. He installed a new LED flourescent light over my kitchen sink in my apartment (something I had been wanting for over a year. He also installed a new switch in my art studio so and a new overhead light fixture that can now be turned on without flickering. He made several trips to Home Depot to find just the right light to install in the middle of the ceiling. In addition, he installed a file closet room. Now I don't have to stand on a chair in the dark to look for things. The total cost for labor and materials was just $492.50. What a deal I highly recommend this company. Derick was the one that required the least amount of time to get the work done, very professional, very friendly, didn't need any additional time, he did an excellent job. I am afford to hire him again.

Very well. Professional quality job, completed in less time then expected. Sliced up old fiberglass material to fit in trash cans, cleaned up nicely after job completion. Price was based on time and materials, rate as agreed upon and fair.

REALLY GREAT

After starting the remodeling of my Townhouse I hired Local Home Services owned by Derek Bingley, who did the work. Derek had the knowledge and skill necessary to do all of the work I requested and more. The work he did was of the highest quality. Derek was also reliable, and always came when he said he would. Derek also was very neat, and cleaned up as he worked, which is especially important when one's home is the work space. Derek did what he said he would in a very speedy and accurate manner. Derek was the best of anyone I hired in completing my remodel. I am so thankful that he was able to squeeze me into his schedule and to complete the work I needed done. I highly recommend Derek, and Local Home Services for work that you need done. I could not have completed the work in my Townhouse with Derek and Local Home Services. Derek fixed my folding laundry room doors.. I thought that they were literally gone. I was prepared to throw them away and buy new ones. "Nope, I can fix this." Derek said. And he did. They work better now than when I initially bought them. Derek is friendly, smart and very knowledgeable. I could not imagine how he was going to fix my plantation shutters. Once again, he was able to repair them, I have some flooring that I need to replace and I am making a plan with Derek to do that as well. I do not think that there is anything that Derek can not fix. I am so happy that I found Derek. This is my first time using Angie's List. If Derek is the type of professional that is on Angie's List, I will use nothing else. If there was a better word than outstanding I would use it here. I am a landlord with multiple units and when you find a contractor of Derek's ability and professionalism you keep him. I already have him slotted for 2 near future projects. I can not say how he did without sounding as if I was making this up. I contacted 3 providers, all from Angie's List. The first had no real clue what he was doing and his proposal was absolute junk. The second was well qualified for the sub floor repair but want no part of the hardwood work. Derek's proposal matched what I thought was the correct approach, he handled both the sub floor and the hardwood repair and then went beyond the original proposal by sanding and refinishing the entire room and part of the next to exactly match the floor to the remainder of the house. He did exactly what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it, did it correctly and then went beyond my expectations. A real professional who gives a darn about his reputation and work. His initial quote was well above the other 2 Angie's List providers and after talking to him about it I understood it was a worst case firm price. He could not really tell the extent of the damage to the sub flooring and hardwood until he removed it. The final price ended up in line with what the middle quote was but the quality of the work was magnificent. I have reviewed probably 10-12 other Angie's list providers of various other home repair services. Derek at Local Home Services is by far the best contractor I have used and will use him again in the future.

Terrific!! Derek can build anything. He's very professional and nice. He built a ramp to the second floor for my dog (that other contractors said couldn't be done!) . He's brilliant!!! He also installed the AC and mounted the giant TV on the wall. I highly recommend him.
