A faulty fill valve is the likely source of noise in your pipes after flushing a toilet. The valve is what’s responsible for bringing in the additional water needed when you flush a toilet. If this valve malfunctions, then it causes a sudden change in water pressure, which results in noises in the pipes.

There are several methods to temporarily or permanently fix a burst pipe. In a pinch, you can seal up a small leak with either silicon pipe tape or epoxy specifically designed for this purpose.
