"We just had Golden Aire install a brand new HVAC.  There service was awesome, I can?t say enough positive things abut them.

This type of system consists of two units–an outside unit that holds the compressor and condenser and an indoor unit that holds an air-handler. With multi-zone ductless systems, there are multiple indoor air handlers tied to a single outdoor compressor/condenser, allowing the system to cool multiple rooms.

Whether an HVAC damper should be open or closed depends on the season, the zone it controls, and the temperature in that zone. In the summer, open upstairs dampers and close lower-level dampers to get the most efficient cooling possible. In the winter, do the opposite. Cool air will naturally flow down to lower levels, while warm air will rise. This keeps your system from working harder and helps prevent common AC problems.

If your AC runs constantly, it could be due to a number of things, including a faulty thermostat, incorrect temperature settings, or broken equipment. Alternatively, you might have an airflow problem (for example, blocked vents or leaky ductwork). Either way, an HVAC pro can identify the specific problem and fix it for you.
