"Scott and his crew did an excellent job in removing multiple trees that were close to or overhanging our house and trimming the remaining trees on the property in order to improve our defensible space. We are very pleased with their work and would hire them again for any future tree work."

"His price is competitive with "All" the licenses you need for someone to be on your property. My renters were very happy with his communication during the job and their yards were cleaner when done then before he started. No problem bringing him back for more work later..."

"We hired TerraHeights recently for our backyard project. Their quote is very reasonable, and Israel is very responsive, honest and helpful. His team is very thorough in their job, certainly no corner is cut. For sod installation, my backyard has lots of tree roots under the lawn, they spent lots of time removing and loosening the soil so that the new sod will flourish, soil is also treated and mixed with sand to accommodate the grass we choose. They took pictures of my old yard arrangement before moving them away for mulch spread and put them back exactly the way it was before, they also helped cleaning up and trimming the bushes without extra cost. They really put lots of effort into doing a great job. I definitely will recommend their service to anyone we know. highly recommend!"

"I interacted with Adrian (co-owner), Joe (co-owner), Eric (foreman I think), and Cassidy (front desk). In the first step of contacting them after I got a flier in the mail, it was easy to get ahold of them and set up a time, no hassle. Cassidy was very charming and endearing to speak with. Then I met with Adrian about the bid and he was helpful and informative when I inquired about the health of the trees and how I could support their health (same with Eric). Joe and Eric came to actually carry out the work for the project and they were both pleasant to speak with as well. They were also easy-going, helpful, and organized with their work force. I could see they all worked hard to get the job done (and there was a lot to do). I wasn't able to engage with Joe as much, but when I spoke with Eric, he was informative, patient, and thorough in his occupational execution as well. Did a good job cleaning up too! I greatly appreciate their service, and here's another thing on my check list I can mark off and be relieved about!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Once you confirm a tree is dead, you should remove it. Dead trees eventually fall, and larger trees in particular can cause damage to rooftops, fencing, flowers, and other objects. As we mentioned, letting decayed wood stay in your yard also invites risks to the surrounding landscaping and vegetation.

DIY pruning is possible for small trees and shrubs with basic tools. However, for larger trees, more hazardous removals, or to ensure proper pruning techniques are used, it is recommended to hire a professional for safety.

Some people prefer to leave or even carve a leftover stump, but we recommend removing it if possible. You can often dig out smaller trunks with a shovel once they have died and dried out. You can have stumps professionally removed, or request a service to grind them down to ground level so they can be replaced with other landscaping or objects.

It may be possible, but transplanting a large, mature tree can be a tricky project, and some trees handle it better than others. If you have a tree you need to save and are considering transplanting it elsewhere, we highly suggest calling a tree removal service and arranging a consultation to see what they say (and how much a full transplant would cost).

In most ways, palm trees are incredibly low-maintenance. They don’t need a ton of water—which is why they’re so beloved in desert regions—and they basically prune themselves. But they do need an ample supply of sunlight and to be in soil that will allow for proper drainage so that their roots don’t become waterlogged and at risk of developing illnesses.

If the plant begins to wilt, develop spots, or change color, these could all be signs that your palm tree has a disease. But a few basic treatments, like pruning and applying fungicide, will usually be more than enough to return it to perfect health.
