"We are very pleased with Bruno Ferraza Tree Service. David Ferraza, the owner, is professional, knowledgeable, and cordial, and he provided a very reasonable estimate. Service was scheduled and the crew arrived on-time the day of service. The crew was friendly, highly skilled, hard working, and had great camaraderie. It was refreshing to see a crew that really enjoyed their job and was efficient and effective in their tasks. We had four trees removed and a few additional stumps ground down. The work went flawlessly including cleanup. The yard looks great! For any future tree maintenance projects, David Ferraza will be the first person we contact. We could not be happier and highly recommended Bruno Ferraza Tree Service."

"The crew worked quickly and was respectful of property. They completed the job with no damage to the mess of power and communication lines that surrounded the tree. The worksite was spotless on completion. Would definitely recommend AA Tree Service."

Small jobs welcome

"My yard was very tight with a little gate, trees on a steep slope overhanging neighbors property and swimming pool Roger Assen showed up on time. With 7 workers who worked together like a finely tuned team. Chris worked in the trees like he was an expert. His 15 years of experience were obvious in his carefully planned and safety first approach to each cut. They are definitely the best bslue for your money Safety conscious, experience and professionalism. Reasonably priced gave me peace of mind in a very difficult tree removal project. I highly recommend them with full confidence in their ability to handle any project they agree to take on. Mike K"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

If a disease has attacked and destroyed the roots, then the tree may fall over as soon as it has died or while part of it is still alive. Trees that die with their roots left in place tend to stay standing for much longer, but those roots will decay eventually, allowing gravity to do the rest.

It is possible to cut down a tree on your property yourself, but it is generally not recommended unless specific conditions are met. You should only consider this project if the tree is small (e.g., under 4-5 inches in diameter and short enough that you don't need a ladder to reach the branches), and you are experienced in handling a chainsaw. The tree must also be located far from any power lines, fences, homes, or other structures. Even for small trees, the work can be dangerous, and it's always advisable to have a spotter to ensure the tree falls correctly and no branches fall on you.

For any tree that is large, requires a ladder to access, or is near electrical lines or structures, you should always hire a professional. Attempting to remove a large tree yourself is extremely dangerous, poses a risk of serious injury, and could result in significant damage to your property.

Before any tree removal, it's also important to check your local and state regulations to ensure the tree is not historic or otherwise protected by your city.

Bleach can potentially kill some types of delicate ornamental trees, but for the most part, it will only kill the foliage it comes in contact with. Applying bleach is not an effective method of killing a tree. A better option is to use an herbicide, which is a chemical compound designed to effectively kill a tree.

Unfortunately, most of the time you’re out of luck if a neighbor’s tree blocks your view. You don’t have a right to a view, so if you have a tree that’s near the property line but on your neighbor’s property, you can’t cut it to be able to take in a majestic mountain or a beautiful sunrise. In some communities, however, there are ordinances protecting scenic views. Checking into your local laws can help you determine your rights in this situation.

We recommend removing the stump, and grinding is a popular way to do it. You can also dig out small stumps or stumps that have fully decayed instead of grinding them. However, don’t try using acids or fire for killing a tree stump, which is a fire hazard and illegal in many areas.

Leaving the stump alone invites eventual problems, including attracting termites, mold, and fungi.
