"This company is great! I had an appointment with a different plumbing company for this morning. I was given a time frame of 2 hours (8-10) to have toilet fixed. I waited, getting nervous as it approached 10 and had not heard a peep from the first plumber. A few minutes after 10 the first plumber called and wanted to reschedule. I was pretty upset. I started searching angieslist again and the first two plumbing companies said they wouldn't be able to get a plumber out today but recommended Plumbing Plus. I am glad they did. I called and was given a two hour time frame 3-5p for today. Awesome! At 223pm I received a text stating the tech's name Robert from Plumbing Plus was on his way along with details of Robert's experience as well as a pic and contact number...wow!...very impressed and very appreciative of such great customer service! Robert is professional and courteous. He arrived before 3 and took very little time to get the job completed. I recommend Plumbing Plus and will definitely have them return to fix any plumbing."

"Did a good job on the faucets as noted but I also asked about an estimate for a tankless water heater. He suggested that it be installed outside near the gas meter since it would be less expensive to install. He also said it would take 2 days to install. Had another plumbing company come and they said it would be more expensive to install it outside. Also the reason for installing a tankless water heater was to save energy. They reminded me that being outside, it would take longer to heat the water. They installed it for $600 less than Top Notch's estimate and did a great job in about 6 hours total time and also installed another bathroom faucet for me at no charge. I had also asked Gordon, the notch notch plumber, about possibly raising the levelers on a dishwasher I had installed. I forgot to do it before connecting it all up. He said the dishwasher would have to be pulled out to get at the levelers- period-but never suggested doing it.Of course, I would have paid for his time but he came to install 2 faucets and apparently that's all he wanted to do since he never suggested doing what was needed to raise the feet on the dishwasher. Also, he "forgot" to give me the 5% Angie's List discount he offered until I reminded him. *RESPONSE TO COMPANY'S RESPONSE- I was not expecting a free service, the other company volunteered the free service."

"After replacing the leaking shut-off valve on the  toilet it was discovered that  the toilet had leaked in the past. and ruined the floor so that the toilet could not be reseated. We had to get a contractor to repair the floor. Then Ray, from Vista Plumbing, returned with a  new  upgraded which I chose and then installed it.

French Drains questions, answered by experts

You should hire a sewer service professional to unclog a main sewer line with tree roots. Tree roots can grow into the main sewer line, and this problem requires a specialized hydro jet, or rooter, that is powerful enough to clear the roots. The tree can also damage the main sewer line, and a professional will need to make repairs or replace the damaged sections. Sewer line replacement costs about $60 to $250 per linear foot.

No, you should not see water in a sewer cleanout. If you do, it could indicate that you have a block or leak in your main sewer line—which can cause sewage to back up inside your home and potentially flood your yard. Your best bet is to call a local sewer cleaner if you notice any water or sewage around your cleanout.

Drain pipes carry wastewater from sinks, toilets, showers, and other fixtures to the main sewer line. They’re typically located within the walls and floors and beneath a home’s foundation. Meanwhile, sewer pipes transport collected wastewater to a septic tank or a municipal sewer system.

A saturated leach field can result from various underlying issues, so it's best to call a professional septic company to diagnose and treat the problem. Depending on the cause of the saturation, potential fixes include pumping out a full septic tank, adding more bacteria to the tank, or regrading the soil to fix low spots. It may also be necessary to reroute rainwater and runoff away from the leach field using gutters, downspouts, and extenders. Once the primary issue is resolved, planting specific types of vegetation over the area can help absorb excess water. In more severe cases, you might need to install a larger septic tank or replace the leach field entirely.

For homes with a septic tank, harsh chemicals like those found in drain cleaner or bleach aren’t recommended. Some chemical drain cleaners can disrupt the balance of bacteria in the septic tank or damage your pipes. For homes with a septic tank, you can choose drain cleaners specifically formulated for use with septic tanks or go with a drain snake. When in doubt, make sure you know who to call for a clogged drain
