"The porcelain tile installation turned out better than we hoped. Their workers adapted to the change that proved necessary (we tried to remove the previous tile and cement board underlayment ourselves). They also disposed of the tile we removed. The new floor is a joy to behold."

"We are picky people, and we give our highest recommend to Brother and Brother with Eitan. They finished our 2 bathroom remodel job on time, and it was very well done according to our specifications. In the development/design process, Eitan came by the home several times to patiently work out three different remodel options with us, helped with the tile options and color schemes at a tile store, gave excellent feedback as to where to buy materials, and what materials we should spend more money on verses which to save on. The entire team is excellent. Raul is a tile and cabinet/countertop installation master, and the workers were professional, courteous, and kept the job site clean. You simply cannot choose a better company!"

"David is absolutely amazing. He came into a bad situation and saved my house! I had been ripped off by a horrible tile installer and I was concerned my dream home was never going to look the way I wanted. Roys Builders ripped out all the bad work and started the whole job from scratch. David's attention to detail was amazing to watch and I appreciated his work ethic between my kitchen and two bathrooms remodels. The team installed a wide range of expert level tile. One bathroom was a full Mosaic floor and wall to wall and ceiling and the custom tile hood over my stove is truly something right out of a magazine. Roy was so easy to work with and made great suggestions whenever an element of design was unclear. Only when one room was perfect would he move on to the next one. I would also like to mention that the team was very clean. Thank you David for your great help! Will be back again.. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for amazing material & outstanding service!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, but you’ll have to use some other type of tool to avoid damaging the tile and possibly injuring yourself. Some alternatives to tile cutters include a glass cutter, angle grinder, and wet saw. Depending on the tile material, you might simply be able to measure and score it with something sharp, like a carbide-tipped pencil, and break it off. Be sure to sand the edge for a smooth installation.

For professional labor and materials, it would cost between $6,000 and $28,000 to install 1,000 square feet of Saltillo tile flooring. If that’s out of your budget, you could consider laying the tiles yourself or choosing a less expensive type of flooring. For example, vinyl flooring costs just $2 to $7 per square foot, so for a 1,000-square-foot space, you’d pay $2,000 to $7,000.

Whether you want to match your tile trim with grout comes down to your personal preferences. If you match the two, it can help your tiles to stand out while providing a clean, cohesive look. On the other hand, you might opt to match your tile trim with your tiles. The best option will depend largely on your tile design, as well as how it fits overall with the rest of your room.

One major drawback of a concrete tile roof is that the material is heavier than most other roofing materials, so there’s a good chance you’ll need structural reinforcements for your home before you can install the roofing material. Concrete tile roofs are also twice as expensive as asphalt shingle roofs, so even though they last much longer, you’ll see higher up-front costs and lower overall value from concrete roof tiles.

Yes, it would be best if you waterproofed your shower walls before tiling. The cement backing board behind the tile is not waterproof; it’s only water-resistant. On top of your tile backing board, be sure to use a waterproof shower membrane before you start installing your shower tiles.
