"For context, I am a relatively young homeowner. Blue Ocean Window Cleaning was friendly, solved my clogged gutter issue extremely quickly, and taught me what to do to maintain my gutters in the future. Highly recommended!"

"Andre and Jane and the Rolling Suds team were awesome to work with! Getting my house and driveway power washed was the best decision and they did such a perfect job. Their communication is great and getting everything setup was an easy process. My house looks brand new after they pressure washed it. I’m really happy with the results and will hire them again when it’s time for a refresh."

"Noticed one of my bedrooms wasn’t getting the same air pressure as the others. I called the guys at sky clean air and was scheduled for the following day for a free quote. Nadav and Erick were on time and quickly got to work, because the age of the house the duct connected to the spare room had become brittle and damaged. I was given a quote for the single duct and replacing the attic I was never pushed into making a decision. Ended up going with the single duct and work was done same day with before and after pictures. My experience with Sky Clean Air is the type of business you want to deal with never felt like I was being played. Definitely recommend"

"These guys are local, and can get the job done within 2 weeks or in my case 1 week due to having my choice of color (white) in stock. Very professional job, the gutters actually drain correctly, they offer leaf screens and wider gutter for large volume roofs. Leo has the new style gutter too. Ask him about that. Im very satasfied. Other quotes from other companies were a month or more wait, and i needed it don now, and i had my houses done within a week."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

No, you don’t need a permit to repair and replace a few boards on an existing deck. However, if you’re making structural changes to the deck or tearing down the old one and building a new one, you will likely need a permit. Check with your local municipality for the regulations and rules in your area, or ask a local contractor who builds decks for advice.

Yes, you can attach a deck to a mobile home, but it’s important that the work be done correctly to avoid the potential for major damage to your home. Many building codes require that any additions to mobile homes—including decks—be either freestanding or have their own support structures. Getting permits may require submitting the home's original floor plan, the proposed floor plan, framing details, and more.

Two coats of stain are ideal for the best protection and aesthetic appeal. However, if your decking is made of particularly dense hardwood, you may only need one coat. If you want an intense color, two coats are ideal.

Covering your deck with a breathable tarp can protect it from snow, ice, and cold winter temperatures. This is a good winterizing solution if you don’t plan to use your deck at all during the colder months. However, it might be best to skip the tarp if you’ll still be walking on your deck or using it in a limited capacity.

The best direction for a gate to swing depends on its location and purpose, but swinging inward is the general rule. An inward swing is often considered safer, prevents the gate from opening into public spaces like a sidewalk, and may be required by local building codes.

There are exceptions and specific considerations. If your property is on a slope, an inward swing might not be possible. For a deck gate, it's safest to have it swing away from any steps. In a backyard, the direction can be a matter of preference, though an inward swing can be helpful when carrying heavy items like a wheelbarrow into a garden.

Regardless of direction, ensure the gate can open fully without hitting any objects or blocking spaces. While an inward swing is standard, a gate that can swing both in and out offers the most flexibility if your setup allows for it.
