"A friend recommended Edgar and his crew after I saw what a good job they did remodeling my friends two bathrooms. We only use Edgar now for all our home projects. He has remodeled two of our bathrooms, installed vinyl flooring, canned lights, ceiling fans, stair balusters, he's done plumbing for us, he's done fascia painting, he pretty much does it all. His work is top-notch. His pricing is very fair. He and crew are always on time finishing the project but also showing up in the morning. He's responsive the phone calls and texts. Highly highly recommended. I tell everyone to use Edgar and crew for any of their home repairs or upgrades."

Customers say: True professional

"We decided to remodel our outdated bathroom, and McCormick Home Builders was a fantastic choice. Khaled and the team delivered high-quality work within the timeline and our budget. Every detail, from the tile work to the lighting, was beautifully done. They communicated well throughout, keeping us informed at every step, and the end result was truly a spa-like bathroom we can enjoy daily. We’d love to work with them again!"

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

When you deep clean your washing machine, using hot water is the best practice since it’s more effective than cold water at killing various types of bacteria and viruses. Plus, hot water tends to break down soap residue more efficiently.

Yes, you must thoroughly clean your deck before staining. If you don't, dirt, debris, grease, and mildew can get trapped between the wood and the new stain. This not only looks unsightly but also prevents the stain from penetrating the wood properly, reducing its ability to protect the deck from weather and UV rays. As a result, the stain won't last as long or look as good. Any existing mold or mildew left untreated can continue to grow beneath the new stain, potentially leading to wood rot and structural damage. Always wait at least 48 hours after cleaning for the wood to dry completely before applying stain.

Pressure washing pros use several factors to determine fence pressure washing costs—and one of the main factors they consider is the fence’s material. The material dictates the required PSI—which, in turn, affects the amount of labor needed for the job.

Contractors may also consider the number of gallons per minute (GPM) needed to pressure wash specific materials. GPM, which refers to the rate of water being released from a pressure washer, helps determine how long a job will take for specific fencing materials.

It’s not necessary, but you can absolutely use soap or detergent when pressure washing your house. Washing with a mixture of soap and water will ensure your siding is spotless when you’re finished. However, in many cases it is not necessary to use soap and you can still achieve a powerful result without any product.

No, you should not use a pressure washer or power washer on roof shingles, including asphalt shingles. The high water pressure is too strong and can damage the shingles by loosening their adhesive, forcing water underneath them, or causing them to fall off. The safer and better option is soft washing with a pump sprayer. For best results and to avoid damage, consider hiring a local roof cleaner to clean your shingles safely.
