Customers say: Quality work

"It took a few days to get the glass in which surprised us since we expected to have the window repaired the first day they came out. The installer was quick and efficient and the window looks great. The quality of the glass is better than what we originally had."

"Company came out and measured the space where the mirrors had to go. The technician took his time to accurately measure and assess the position of the mirrors. About a week later they called and within a couple of days they installed the mirrors. Competitive price, great service and execution. Very happy with the final look. Would hire again and I would recommend True View."

"I am a contractor out here in California, and use Shane on many jobs. I liked he always answered his phone or got back to me within a reasonable time frame. If it has glass in it he can fix it. He underpromises and over delivers. Hands down, the best glass guy I have ever had the privilege to work with. And I have had to work with a few. Shane is THE MAN"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

The best tool for DIYers to use to cut glass is a glass cutter, which can either use a straight blade or a sharp cutting wheel to score glass. Once you score the lines you want to cut, elevate the scored line over a pivot point and apply light, even pressure to both sides. Make sure you wear protective gloves and glasses to stay safe during the process.

The methods outlined here are intended for surface scratches—ones that don’t cut into the glass very deeply. For deep scratches, you should consider a more comprehensive glass scratch repair kit. These kits come with abrasives, polishing compounds, and specialized tools designed for removing deep scratches from glass. If you feel uncomfortable tackling a deep scratch on your own, consider calling a local glass repair contractor.

There are a couple of different mirrors that can make a small bathroom look bigger. If you need a functional mirror in the space, choose a frameless option instead of a mirror with thick or intricate framing. Heavy frames can make the space feel cluttered. Additionally, you can swap a large mirror with small frameless mirrors to create the illusion of more wall space.

Replacing window glass instead of the entire window is more cost-effective, maintains the frame's aesthetics, and reduces waste. It improves insulation and energy efficiency and can be completed more quickly with minimal disruption to the home.

Heavy glass tends to be more expensive than thin glass because it is stronger and more durable. In most cases, ¼-inch-thick glass is ideal for mirrors, and ⅛-inch-thick glass is ideal for residential windows. Heavier glass isn’t always necessary, and can be more challenging to hang or install. Work with a local window installation pro for replacement or new construction windows.
