"Rodney was incredibly professional, efficient and friendly. He came in a timely manner with boards precut and all equipment needed. He also adjusted the low-hanging metal frame, cleaned up shavings, and hosed down walkway. We were extremely pleased with his services all around and highly recommend him for fencing and other skilled work."

"The whole experience was exceptional from start to finish. They were very dependable and the initial install of the chain link fence with 2 gates, was quick and just what I wanted. I have two small dogs decided to put up the fence when a javelina attacked one of them. When my outside camera caught a coyote and bobcat prowling my yard on two separate occasions, I called them out again with each new threat. They addressed my concerns modifying the fence with each additional call. What I find above and beyond, was when I called about the bobcat. They came the very next day to take care of it. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have a fence installed."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Do you need a permit to build a fence if you are simply replacing an existing fence? Whether you need a permit in this case depends on your local laws and regulations. Most municipalities consider a fence replacement project as being equal to building a new fence, so you likely will need a permit. Check with your local building inspection department or zoning department to see if you need a permit. If you hire a local fence contractor, this pro can take care of obtaining all permits for you.

Yes, you can expect your composite fencing to fade quickly during the first six months. This happens naturally because the wood oils in the fencing material, called tannins, bleed out. Because of this, it can help to get a color chart from your fence company, which should show you the color of your fence before and after it fades.

On most untreated wood fences, there is no need to sand before treating. You typically only need to sand if there’s an old coat of paint or stain on your fence. If you do need to sand off a previous paint or protective coating (like an old stain or sealant), use medium-grit sandpaper.

A board on board fence is more expensive than other types of privacy fences. That’s because these fences require overlapping boards, which drives up material and labor costs. On average, a board on board fence costs 30% more than an average wood fence.

Vinyl fencing stays popular with homeowners because it’s durable and aesthetically pleasing. In addition to offering plenty of privacy, vinyl fences have a life span of 20 to 30 years with minimal maintenance. You don’t have to worry about these fences warping or rotting due to moisture, and this material doesn’t contain toxic chemicals.
