"AG Fencing installed fence on my property in three phases. First was approximately 320 feet of No-Climb fence around my facility, 2nd phase was Weld wire and T Post perimeter fence around entire property, 3rd phase was white Vinyl slat fence in front yard. They were extremely courteous and promo. Far exceeded expectations. I would recommend them to all. Great job."

"The whole experience was exceptional from start to finish. They were very dependable and the initial install of the chain link fence with 2 gates, was quick and just what I wanted. I have two small dogs decided to put up the fence when a javelina attacked one of them. When my outside camera caught a coyote and bobcat prowling my yard on two separate occasions, I called them out again with each new threat. They addressed my concerns modifying the fence with each additional call. What I find above and beyond, was when I called about the bobcat. They came the very next day to take care of it. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have a fence installed."

"This is a family-owned business that was once operated by parents(I think), but is now operated by their son, Blake. He is a young man, but was an amazing hard worker! I wanted two small sections of a wood fence replaced, including two gates. Blake worked diligently for two days to rebuild the fence sections that I am extremely happy with. As he was finishing those sections, I asked him if he would build and install a metal handrail on outdoor stairs in my backyard. He gladly said he would do that, and spent an extra day building and installing the handrail! I am very impressed with this company and the work performed. I highly recommend them for your fencing needs!"

", My initial meeting and using them 3 years ago was a recommendation from someone at work-I live in High Desert and my yard was a free for all mess(because I have no fence or wall)-I had a few trees, lots of overgrown cactus, and a yard full of rocks and un-workable earth. My vision was for a "Southwest Zen" type of environment. I could not afford to do the entire yard-the back dips down to an access road-so, we focused on the front & side yard(keeping in mind I have no fence-so, lots of critters)-They put in two beautiful Desert Willows, cleaned up my Palo Verde & Chitalpe Tree, put decomposed granite throughout and created a peaceful, beautiful yard space. This year I needed things to be "touched up". My trees badly needed trimming,I had a few things that needed transplanting, we needed a bit of a makeover. This may sound weird but I had a dead Mesquite tree(attacked by Holly) that I did not want to cut down because this tree has the most beautiful shape and Nathan totally "got that" so, I wanted him to clean off all the dead extensions so, the shape of the tree was left because I wanted to turn it into a "prayer tree"--they did and awesome job. They work hard and have a lot of integrity."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

There’s no definitive answer to this question because dog owners and experts are conflicted about the efficacy and morality of electric fences. However, physical fences are typically considered a better option since they provide guaranteed containment for your pup, provided they are tall enough, and your dog can’t dig under them. Physical fences can also provide privacy, which might stop your dog from barking at people or animals walking by. Physical dog fences tend to be more expensive, but most homeowners find them to be a better option overall.

The lifespan of a picket fence largely depends on its material. Wooden picket fences typically last 10 to 15 years with regular maintenance, while vinyl and composite picket fences can last 20 to 30 years or more due to their resistance to weather, rot, and pests. Metal picket fences often exceed 30 years, especially when properly coated to prevent rust or corrosion.

To choose where to add a fence gate, know where fence gates shouldn’t go. For example, you should avoid placing gates over low spots on the ground where water can collect and form muddy puddles. Many ranchers install gates at the corner of a fence. Certain gate placements may also be required depending on the type of gate latch you use.

Privacy fences in residential neighborhoods tend to stand between 6 and 8 feet tall, but local building code usually dictates the maximum height. Livestock fences that border large land plots range from 3 to 6 feet. Shorter, decorative fences, which are common in front yards, are around 3 feet tall, on average. Fence height also tends to vary by material, with wood fences usually sitting at 6 feet tall, and chain-link and wrought iron fences tending to sit at half that.

No, fence posts aren’t always set in concrete. If you don’t want to use concrete footings for your posts, expanding foam is a popular alternative. Expanding foam and concrete each have certain pros and cons. For instance, foam is easier to install and more sustainable, but concrete is sturdier and less expensive.
