The whole process took longer than we had hoped but no fault was due Prescott Fence. Craig showed up on time for the first estimate. He was very professional and courteous. He provided a detailed cost estimate within a few days and we evaluated his estimate along with 3 other companies. They were not the cheapest but we considered more than just cost in our evaluation. Their estimate by far provided the most detail of the 4 companies. Craig answered my numerous questions in a timely manner and even gave us an address to see their work which we loved. We then contracted with them and got HOA approval and a county permit. Once those were received, the fence was started within 2 weeks and finished about 10 days later after a slight delay on their part. The fence is wonderful, well-installed and attractive, and we are looking forward to finding a good landscaper now

Tri-city Fence

We contacted Tri-City Fence based on the reviews of Angies's List and were very satisfied. We experienced some wind damage to our wooden fence where several panels had blown down. The owner came out and inspected the damage and told us what he felt it needed to both repair and make sure the damage did not occur again. With our approval, he replaced the missing panels along with a few damaged boards and then screwed in the entire fence using the appropriate length screws as the fence had been stapled when originally constructed. He strengthened the entire length of fencing and repaired all of the damage. Now the fence is secure and should withstand any future storms. He was punctual, professional and did only what was needed. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again

Roger personally came out to ascertain what we wanted done and gave us an estimate for the work to be performed. Roger built the 6 foot wall, stuccoed all surfaces with the color matching our house. He installed a wrought iron gate with synthetic wood inserts. His work is flawless. We have lived with this wall for over 1 1/2 years and are as happy now with Rogers work as we were the day he completed it. There was a minimum of disruption as a result of Rogers work. We have received many compliments from our neighbors regarding the wall he built. His price was reasonable. We have been remiss in not posting this review earlier and our apologies go out to Roger for this. We would would recommend his company to anyone contemplating masonry work of this type

Roger (owner) was very prompt for the consultation appointment with my husband. He listened carefully to what my husband wanted and made a couple of suggestions for a drive through gate we hadn't thought of (but have used since and are glad it is there). The job was finished in 2 weeks from the start time. Even though it wasn't quite finished when we brought our dogs over for the first time (we were moving from NV) , Roger secured the fence to be safe for the dogs and finished later the same weekend. We were very pleased with every aspect of out experience with Tri-City Fence and highly recommend them

Professional Fence

We received at least three different quotes. Professional Fencing came highly recommended and they provided the best estimates. They could start work right away. This crew was extremely flexible, adjusting for an easement that the municipality identified after the permit was applied for and adjusting for changes a neighbor wanted (we were enhancing a shared fence). They did both things without any negative impact to schedule or cost. The team was punctual, friendly and professional. We are very impressed with the end product and will hire them again if needed

"This project ran smoothly from beginning to end. Each day, Brian and Jason explained what they were going to do and before they left, they explained what they were going do the next day.
A template was done for the bartop before it was removed. It took more time to do it this way but we were assured the new top would fit perfectly and it did. Everything in the room was covered to protect it from the dust.
After the countertop was removed, the outlets had to be moved and they are qualified electricians. The flooring had to be removed in kitchen and living areas. It was a creaky floor and they assured us it wouldn’t creak anymore. There were some damp spots underneath the old flooring in the kitchen and I was called to let me know before they went any further to see what I wanted to do about the dampness. The flooring is in and there is no more creaking! 2,000 screws took care of that! The new baseboard is beautiful. It has been caulked and the nail holes filled in. The mitered cuts they made for each angle took extra time and it is perfection. Onto the newly framed, angled wall where the new fireplace was installed and they had to frame around the exhaust system to satisfy code regulation. I ordered a mantle online and the workmanship was so poor that I called them to pick it up. A mantle was special ordered by the contractor and he picked it up in Phoenix. It is a beautiful mantle and is exactly what we wanted. The stacked stone was laid which has to be exact from the beginning. Painstaking work all the way through because the stone is natural and not perfect. It is a beautiful wall now and they hung the mantle and the Samsung TV. Brian connected all the electronics to the TV. They are so knowledgeable about all facets of remodelling. No sub contractors are necessary. Every day before they left, they would spend the needed time to clean up and put their tools away. They are organised and professional and no one could have been easier to work with. Their work is meticulous and we will recommend them to all of our friends. Thank you, Brian and Jason!

"I cannot recommend JP & his crew enough! Not only does our yard look beautiful, but the entire process from start to finish was absolutely seamless. JP came out the same day I requested a quote and started work the following week. Other contractors told me they couldn't get the tiles I wanted but Angel Sun was able to deliver. They were extremely communicative and walked us through the entire process. Overall extremely reliable & easy to work with. We can't wait to have Angel Sun back in the spring to complete our yard with greenery.
I provide any and all handyman work including basic home repair, custom home work, yard work, furniture assembly, as well as junk removal. "The job went flawlessly! Joey, a young & upcoming professional, was meticulous (which suits our style!), efficient, and kept us appraised throughout the process. "We had a storm that ripped off some ties that was two years ago. They are not local. There were probably 100 roofing companies from all over the country that came in because so many roofs were damaged here. The underside of the roof collapsed. That was not a storm leak. It was a water leak. I would use them again.
Prescott Fence company has been in business since 1993. We do all types of fencing and gate operators.
"Initial discussions with Mr. Haggart regarding my prior, prime contractor's disappointing submission that was 224% of my budget, and not complete at that huge quantum of overrun.
<br /> That initial submission incorporated 115' of masonry, ornamental iron for 85 feet, including a driveway with automatic opener, a walking gate, refurbishment of the existing barbed wire fence, and a series of and quot;exclusionsand quot;- which would leave the effort incomplete without incorporation. Omitted was about 90 feet of existing legacy barbed wire fencing, and about 75 feet of new chain link fence. The electrical was omitted, and the cement work and trenching for the and quot;vand quot; bar for the driveway gate as also omitted. No schedule for execution. No labor break out.
<br /> I informed Mr. Haggart of my dissatisfaction with the lack completeness, sensitivity to budget, and work plan details of the prior submission at our initial meeting by the first contractor. And the omission of major portions of the fence line that were omitted from pricing (e.g. refurbishment of the existing barbed wire fence).
<br /> At the risk of being redundant, we did discuss that I had no expectation that should my budget be unrealistic, that I did not expect to exercise anyone unfairly. But I did anticipate some effort to inform me of the those major items of cost and alternatives to get a solution that was approaching, if not closing on the budget.
<br /> After I made several status-ing telephone calls to Mr. Haggart following the submission of details from the survey, I did get a bid with a detail of components and pricing. Just no suggestion of ways to get back within my budget. Nor a schedule for execution.
<br /> His proposal was at least $3000 more than what we discussed. And some items were not delineated. My confidence that we had an understanding was small. No suggestion of possible alternatives to reduce cost. No follow up discussions.
<br /> From my perspective, the price per lineal foot was much more than other sources of estimation for materials and labor available to me. The proposal was on a total job without any ability to address major, material elements of cost (e.g. driveway gate, walking gate, slope placed panels, horizontal placed panels, ornamental iron...etc.) Things which might've resulted in a discussion and negotiation.
<br /> Here is an example I have included here of what I would have expected:

<br /> No call back or follow-up by Mr. Haggart, however. No variance analysis. No basis for analysis. No suggestions of and quot;alternativesand quot; or counter proposals that would align better with the original budget target.
<br /> So- I can only suspicion he was embarrassed and didn't want to invest any more energy in pursuit of the business.
<br /> Maybe my prior experience in other metro areas is too small to set appropriate expectations. Then again, HGTV always has contractors working to stay within budget and schedule with their clients.
<br /> And these contractors know their significant cost elements up front. They negotiate with customers to work within the budget and time schedule commitment.

Yavapai Landscaping is a full service landscaping company that offers design, installation, and maintenance services throughout Yavapai County and Arizona.
"I contracted Yavapai Landscaping to do two days of Firewise work at my home in Talking Rock. They were outstanding, professional and very efficient. Their crew leader Levi was a pleasure to deal with on both times and answered my questions and gave his advice on a couple trees I was not sure on what i wanted to do with. I have since contacted them to replace a irrigation shutoff valve that cracked as well. Highly recommend.

Fencing FAQ
How much does it cost to install a fence?
Answer: The average cost to install a fence is $2,600. A variety of factors will impact the overall cost of fencing installation, such as the length of the fence, the materials you choose, and local labor costs. Fencing projects using the lowest cost materials and with lower labor costs can cost as little as $1 to $6 per linear foot, while projects using the highest cost materials and with higher labor costs may be as high as $15 to $45.
Do I need a permit to build a fence around a yard?
Answer: Whether you’ll need a permit to build a fence around your yard will depend on your city or county's local codes. Many metropolitan and suburban areas require a permit to install most fencing, but they may not for fences situated behind a house as opposed to in front of it or fences that don’t run within a certain distance of the road. To find out if you’ll need a permit to fence your yard, reach out directly to your local government office.
What is the cheapest fence to install?
Answer: The cheapest fencing to install is chain-link fencing. Chain-link fencing is typically cheaper than other fence types because the materials cost less, and installation is generally quicker and easier than other options. Chain-link fencing is affordable, easy to install, and low maintenance. However, it’s usually considered less secure than other options and doesn’t increase resale value as much as fences made of different materials.
Is a wood or vinyl fence cheaper?
Answer: Wood fences are generally cheaper than the cost of vinyl fences. While the cost of materials for wood and vinyl fences is usually very similar, the labor cost associated with installing a vinyl fence is higher. Wood fencing is also easier to install than vinyl fencing, making it possible to save money by making wood fence installation a DIY project. It’s also possible to DIY install a vinyl fence.
What is the life expectancy of a vinyl fence?
Answer: Vinyl fencing can be expected to last between 10 and 30 years. Vinyl fencing is generally low maintenance, but proper care will ensure it lasts as long as possible. Its long life span and high return on investment make vinyl fencing a popular option for many homeowners.
What type of fence adds to the property value?
Answer: Installing quality fencing, no matter the fence type, will generally add value to your property. In general, fences made of longer-lasting, lower-maintenance, and more attractive materials—like wrought-iron, composite, or vinyl—add more value to a property than fences made of lower-cost or less attractive materials, like chain-link. To ensure your fencing adds as much value to your home as possible, be sure it’s properly permitted, approved by your homeowners association (if you have one), and installed properly.
