"Julio was prompt and professional. He repaired our carpet quickly and with craftsmanship. He left no signs that he was even here after having to move some furniture to work. I highly recommend Julio for carpet jobs."

"I was pleased from start to finish and beyond! We bought our first house and wanted to replace the carpet in the bedrooms. Jennie came by our house and was able to assess the needs of our family of four with a toddler and large dog, as well as, listened to our preferences. The floor installers were professional, efficient, and friendly. Beyond pleased with the results and Jennie made sure to follow up afterwards with a walk through. Highly recommend!"

"Not bad. Not great. I did like that the installers moved all the furniture where the carpet was being installed and put it back. Just would have liked to had better padding & carpet. Sales guy convinced me other installers would charge more and had longer fulfillment and wait times. Who knows if that?s the case. It?s been a little over a year since having the carpet installed and it?s showing it?s wear already unfortunately."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpet installation costs include carpet type (material, weave), room size, subfloor preparation, and labor costs. Getting multiple quotes provides a clearer picture of expected expenses.

It is normal to glue carpet down, though it’s not the only or the most popular method of installing carpet. Modern techniques include tack strips and stretching the carpet, but you might still find glued carpet in older homes or a home with a DIY’d past. Removing a glued-down carpet will be harder compared to other methods of installation.

Carpeting has a few benefits on stairs in addition to being a cost-effective floor covering. It absorbs sound, dampening footsteps. It also provides additional traction, which is especially important if you install linoleum floors, epoxy flooring, or any other floor covering that can become slippery if you’re wearing socks. Therefore, carpets can help prevent slips.

A stair runner can be cheaper than a carpet and will definitely save money over the cost of refinishing hardwood floors and stairs. The price depends, however, on the fabric and quality of the runner. A wool stair runner can be more expensive than an inexpensive polyester carpet and vice versa. Keep an eye on your budget, knowing that the higher quality the carpet and the carpet pad, the better the carpet will wear over time.

The type of flooring you choose for your bedroom comes down to personal preference. Many people prefer carpet over hard-surface flooring types (such as hardwood, tile, or stone) in their bedrooms because it’s warmer and cozier. Carpeting also helps muffle sound, which may benefit those who have trouble sleeping.

On the other hand, some folks prefer the look of hardwood over carpet. People with allergies might also opt for non-carpeted flooring since carpet fibers can attract dust, dander, and other allergens.
