"Prompt, courteous service; the electrician and his apprentice both arrived promptly, following a call from the office, sealed up their shoes and got right to work.  The job was done to satisfaction in about two hours, with no surprise charges.  The tech added on a spot repair of a light switch, and the price was still pretty much within the range I figured it would be.  Both men were completely professional and courteous; no extra charge for the return visit with the part needed, and prompt, thorough work.  Would recommend again; thanks much!

"Nathan, John and Kenny removed old systems and installed 2 new HVAC systems in my home in 2 days. I was very impressed by their professional work ethic, knowledge, engineering solutions and especially their "can do" attitudes to anything. This was a complete team effort. Thank You!"

"Robert was excellent to work with from the beginning. He responded immediately to my request for a quote. Like, nearly 90 seconds after I submitted a form online. I wanted to pay for duct cleaning for my parents as a Christmas gift and Robert coordinated everything with me so that my parents never saw the bill. He explained step-by-step what to expect and provided an estimate on how long it would take. He had a flat rate so there were zero surprises when I receive the invoice. Between my interaction with him and my parents' experience with him, it was worth every penny. My parents said the house smells fresher and there is a noticeable decrease in the amount of dust they can see on the furniture. He used a sanitizer solution to get rid of any mold (which there was mold) that was in the vents once they had been blown out. My dad was home at the time of the service and said he enjoyed talking with Robert so much. He said they were very friendly and professional. They arrived on time and got to work right away. Healthy Home Professionals is truly a family owned and run business. Good people and really good service. I highly recommend them!"

"Jeff installed a complete HVAC system for me at my rental property. I live out of town and he worked along with an agent making appointments for the installation and was there as he promised."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

If your central AC is not blowing cold air, you should try resetting the system. Many systems have a reset button. Make sure your thermostat is off, then turn off the circuit breaker that powers your AC. Hold the reset button for three to five seconds, then turn the circuit back on. Set your thermostat to cool and choose a temperature cooler than the room. Your system should turn on quickly.

Yes, it's normal for air conditioners to leak tiny amounts of water due to condensation. Under normal circumstances, all excess moisture travels to the drain pan to be pumped through your system's drain line. You should call a technician to diagnose the issue if you're noticing frequent leaking or pooling. It's also important to investigate if your homeowners insurance can cover water damage.

The decision to put your AC unit on the roof or ground depends on the climate in your area, the roof shape, accessibility, and budget. If you live in a warm climate or don’t have existing ductwork, it’s likely best to stick to a traditional AC unit that sits on the ground. However, if you lack yard space, live in a mild climate, and have easy access to the roof, your home may benefit from a rooftop AC unit.

Yes, a dehumidifier and air conditioner can be used simultaneously in a home. A dehumidifier can bolster an air conditioner’s efficiency. Typically, a dehumidifier is used when the air conditioner alone cannot keep a home’s humidity levels at a comfortable indoor humidity level, which should, ideally, be between 30% and 50%.

You should flush your AC drain line once every three months to keep it clear of debris and buildup. Keeping your AC drain line clean prevents clogs, backups, mold growth, and extra wear on your AC unit. If you live in a humid area or have several furry pets, up your cleaning schedule to once a month.
