"Roof Repair.  A representative from US Shingle provided an accurate estimate of the work to be completed within a week of being called, contacted the insurer since the roof had hail damage, and met and reviewed the roof replacement cost with the insurer adjuster.  This part of the process went very smoothly.  
However, the representative (who is no longer with the company) did not communicate very well with the work crew and its supervisor.  We have a back and front entrance to the house, and had stressed that we did NOT want the crew to park the trailer for removing shingles in the back driveway.  However, the crew was busy pitching shingles when we arrived from an appointment and they were not able to move the trailer until gas was purchased for the van that was hauling the trailer.  Not a good start.  Note: We subsequently had to repair a car tire that went flat because of a roofing nail -- something we were trying to avoid.
The crew was proficient and removed the old shingles and replaced most of the shingles on the back side of the house before being interrupted by rain.  However, when then began removing shingles from the front, they did not remove landscape lights or cover the hedges in the front until I asked them to do so.  As a result, we had minor damage to a couple of plants, and three landscape lights were damaged (one was repairable).  
Additionally, the crew did not replace a rotted underlayer panel in the front of the house that the US Shingle representative had assured me would be replaced.  Upon pointing this out to the work crew supervisor and the representative, the crew replaced the panel, but did not re-seal the flashing.
The representative from US Shingle offered to repair or replace the landscape lights, and we provided estimates for their replacement (much more expensive than we had expected).  It took several months for the landscape lights to be repaired and replaced, but we were quite pleased with the efforts taken by the owner.  He personally met with us and ensured that everything was in working order; he also had the flashing re-sealed in the front of the house.
Gutter Guards.  The same representative who provided the estimate for the roof replacement also provided an estimate for the gutter guards.  I had thoroughly researched the various options, had other estimates, and was quite pleased with the price for the installed gutter guards.  
Unfortunately, the person who typically installs the gutter guards was sick, and a less experience crew installed them about a month after the installation of the new roof.  Upon inspecting their work, I realized they had significant gaps between the guards, and had not installed them with the splices recommended by the manufacturer.  
I pointed this problem out to the US Shingle representative, and after showing him the installation instructions from the manufacturer's website, he agreed to have the splices installed, along with new splash guards for the front and back entrances, which he had agreed would be included in the installation price.  The experienced gutter guard installer installed the splices and fixed all gaps in the gutter guards about two weeks later.  We were very pleased with the final work.
Overall:  I was pleased with the quality of the roofing and gutter guards, and the concern and responsiveness of the owner.

"The contract session was with Stephan Boyer. He was very through and informative. We knew exactly what we were getting and what to expect. Chris Renda and his crew showed up as promised. They showed up with all materials and immediately started work. The crew took no breaks and barely took time for lunch.. Chris Renda kept us infomed of everything going on.He found that our dormers had not been wrapped or waterproofed so he removed all the siding and began wrapping and waterproofing the dormers for us! The crew took 5 days of hard nonstop work installing our beautiful new patina green metal roof. We are completely satisfied! !

"I called primarily because we had'nt used the insert in a few years and had gotten a wasp's nest in the chimney which was removed when we had the roof redone.  I wanted to find out if a screen could be put on top to stop wasps from getting in.  After being told they had had a 1 and 1/2 hour drive to get to me they could'nt do anything  but put on a new cap for 400 to 500 dollars which would make it worth their while for the trip.  They did'nt do a cleaning and were here for about 20 minutes.  It was a special they were running for a cleaning and inspection.
