We would definitely hire again. Thanks guys!"

15 years of experience in Carpet, upholstery, Water/Flood Restoration, and Airduct Cleaning. We utilize top of the line TRUCK MOUNT units that have 17 lbs of suction and 220 degrees of steam which is much more effective and efficient than portable machines, which larger companies use. Prices stay low because I personally do the work to make sure it is 100% to my company's satisfaction. Often times same day or next day service. Same day try time!! Easily able to add on services when I am on site. Thorough, but quick, job performance. Average carpet cleaning job takes an hour. Carpet cleaning, Air duct cleaning, U.V lights, area rug and upholstery cleaning, floor restoration, water extraction, pet stain & odor removal, power washing, homes and driveways. Please feel free to call for a no obligation quote over the phone.

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

Basement Specialist is a company rooted in honesty and quality of work. We are a locally owned company specializing in basement waterproofing, foundation repair, and overall repair and maintenance of the supporting base of your home. At Basement Specialist, we recognize the importance of understanding construction methods and soil conditions of the Metro Area. Our quality reviews speak for themselves; Angie's List members love us!

"Dale was very thorough in his examination of my situation and gave me clear explanations of what was going on. Other firms that quoted the work insisted that the entire basement needed to be done. Dale said that we only need to fix what is leaking. Cost to do that was one third that of other bids. Crew was on time, prompt and thorough. I would definitely use this firm again."

Since 2007, Capital Heating, Cooling, and Electric has provided professional HVAC services throughout SE Wisconsin. Our drive to ensure every one of our customers is 100% satisfied with our service has earned us accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, along with many awards, including the Angie’s List Super Service Award, Best of HomeAdvisor, and many more.

"I won a free tune-up for my furnaces from Capital Heating, Cooling & Electric so I thought I would give them a try instead of my regular HVAC company. On October 2, 2024, the Capital service tech, Colin, came out to tune up my 2 furnaces. As part of his work, Colin measured the CO2 in the exhaust pipe and said both furnaces were at dangerous levels and should not be operated until both the primary and secondary heat exchangers were replaced in each plus the burner for one of the units. The quote from Capital to do the repairs on the furnaces exceeded $5700. Colin said the CO2 on one of the furnaces exceeded 400ppm. Colin tried to sell me on the repairs and I told them I planned to get another opinion. I found Colin to be arrogant, obnoxious and very pushy. Seemed like he was under pressure to get me to do the repairs. Had to ask him to leave multiple times before he finally left. On October 14, 2024 I had an independent HVAC company, one I had not used before, in for a second opinion on the furnaces. The independent HVAC company measured the CO2 in the exhaust pipe for each furnace and found that the furnace that Capital told me was over 400ppm was at 27ppm and the other furnace was under 5ppm; also pulled the burner on the one furnace and said it didn't need to be replaced. Additionally, the tech for the independent HVAC company told me as the original owner of the furnaces the heat exchangers should be covered under warranty, which I was able to confirm. Capital failed to mention the warranty for the heat exchangers as well. Given this experience, I will never trust Capital to do any work for me in the future."

"Called Lou Fennig in January about a broken pipe in heating system (It was temporarily patched). It was right before the polar vortex set in. He suggested we wait till it warmed up because he needed to shut off the boiler. When we hit a warm streak he called us and set up a time to come. He arrived on time and replaced the broken pipe. He tracked down all the bleeder valves that were hidden behind walls and dropped ceiling and replace old leaky ones. He drained the system and made sure it was in working order."

Heating Oil questions, answered by experts

You can expect a geothermal system to last for years. According to the Department of Energy, the underground infrastructure for the heat pumps lasts about 25 to 50 years, which includes the pipes buried in the soil. The actual heat pump itself has a life span of around 25 years.

Yes, including optimizing settings and suggesting upgrades if needed.

DIY maintenance like filter cleaning is possible, but professional servicing ensures proper pressure, refrigerant levels, and loop performance.

There are three main types of heat pumps. An air-source heat pump system is the most common and has two parts—an indoor air handler unit and an outdoor heat pump unit. A ductless heat pump system functions similarly to an air-source heat pump system but doesn’t need ductwork to distribute the air. A geothermal heat pump system pulls heat from the ground to help heat your home.

NATE-certified technicians may charge slightly higher service fees compared to non-certified technicians. This is because NATE certification signifies a higher level of expertise and professionalism, often leading to more efficient and effective HVAC repairs and installations. While the upfront cost may be marginally higher, NATE-certified technicians can potentially save you money in the long run by reducing energy consumption, preventing frequent breakdowns, and extending the life span of your HVAC system. When looking for a local HVAC company to hire, it never hurts to ask about NATE certifications.
