When Benjamin was at my home he noticed that my patio door window had a "seal failure". My older patio doors were replaced by All American Window and Door Co. in 2005. I didn't even realize that the patio door was still under warranty. My door was repaired at no charge (the service charge was dropped) since technicians were scheduled to install the windows. From start to finish All American did a great job. The installation went smoothly and the technicians took their time, explained how to care for the windows, and left a clean job site. In the first 2 years of ownership we had to hire a lawyer to get the title company used to settle out of court with the land owner, as they never saw that the title was released for the land our home was built on. Then we needed to have the house actually sealed to the basement since mice were infesting our brand new home. They foamed the unsealed areas. Next was replacement of every window in the house as they leaked and we complained of terrible draftiness. One side of the house was resided before we even moved in. Now it has been a few years and we have listened to them telling us the "builders grade" windows are"drafty." Well, the last severe cold snap revieled the real issue. FROST built up on the dry wall along the whole front wall of the house. We chose to pull baseboards off and open up drywall in my son's bedroom closet~in an area where there was a smaller amount of frost. We found that there was a hole in the wall boarding that was poorly glued with construction glue and "covered" with tyvek and then had siding slapped over it. We expect we will find much worse if continue to open up the drywall. The builder said shoddy workmanship is not covered in the ten year warranty. His recomendation was to open up all the drywall and seal the areas with a can of spray foam and repatch the dry wall, He informed us that this issue was not covered and left. We have since attempted to contact the builder and have gotten no response. We also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and have heard nothing from them either. This is clearly a case of shoddy contruction and clearly cut corners. We would really like to see them respond and do the right thing."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/wi/brookfield/william-ryan-homes-reviews-4455172.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Bazaar Home Decorating Center","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"WI","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"PAUL M."},"reviewBody":"The string broke within 3 months. Home Warranty reviews from real Angi homeowners in Fredonia, WI
This company does not have good customer service when it comes to warranty service or follow-up. I contacted them 4 times since October 13, 2022, and they have still not scheduled a repair or returned a phone call.

Home Warranty prides itself on providing the best value in the home warranty industry, making our Home Protection Plan the home warranty of choice wherever we do business.
"Buyers Beware – Total Waste of Money We purchased the premium home warranty package through Home Warranty Inc (homewarrantyinc.com) when we bought our home in October 2024, including the add-on for sprinkler system coverage. As anyone familiar with North Dakota knows, sprinkler systems must be winterized in September or October to prevent freeze damage. Ours was professionally blown out as soon as we moved in. Fast forward to spring—sprinkler systems in this region typically aren’t used again until late May, after the last freeze. We hired a professional sprinkler company to perform the spring startup and inspection. They found that multiple valves weren’t working properly. I filed a claim with the home warranty company immediately. Despite having the coverage, they denied the claim, saying it was a "pre-existing condition." That’s absolutely ridiculous, considering the system was winterized upon move-in and wasn’t even operational until months later. To make matters worse, this company has no partnered service providers in our town. You're expected to find your own technician, and good luck finding one who’s willing to work with them. Even if you do, you're likely stuck paying a significant amount out of pocket if anything needs to be replaced. This company is a complete scam. They take your money and leave you high and dry when it actually matters. I would never recommend them to anyone."

"It took a lot of phone tag to finally get the technician to our house, but once here he was efficient and professional and did an amazing job. The chip was in the edge of a white quartz countertop, very difficult to match perfectly, and the repair is absolutely invisible. Not the lowest bid, but worth the price."

FAQs for home warranty projects in Fredonia, WI
Many benefits come with buying a home warranty when selling your home, but there are drawbacks to consider, too.
Pros
Peace of mind of home repair coverage
Incentive for buyers
Transferability to new owners
Prevent post-sale issues
Cons
Expensive cost
Exclusions of certain features or appliances
Coverage limits
Often difficult to understand
Potential wait for claim service
On average, a home warranty costs about $1,100, ranging from $80 to $8,300, depending on your home size and its features, type of home warranty plan, and the coverage included. Your home’s location also factors into the cost of a home warranty, with areas with a higher cost of living experiencing increased warranty costs.
Additional cost to consider include:
Deductibles: $75–$125 per call
Add-ons: $2–$35 per month
Premiums: $200–$1,200 per year
Several factors make a home warranty worth it or not, especially the age of your home and the condition and age of the appliances in it. If you buy an older home with most or all original appliances, a warranty may be worth the investment as these home features are more likely to need repairs or replacements. However, if you’re buying a new-construction home, a warranty may already be included, and you may not need to use it for several years. In this case, purchasing add-ons may not be worth the cost until a few years later.
Offering a home warranty when selling can make your property more appealing to potential buyers. The warranty gives them peace of mind that many systems or appliances will be covered if they need to be repaired or replaced in the near future. Additionally, the home warranty may cover problems that arise during the home sale, such as a leaky roof or water in the basement.
The main types of home warranties cover the basic essentials, but additional plan types focus on specific areas such as:
Appliance plan: This plan covers typical household appliances like refrigerators, stoves, washer and dryer, built-in microwaves, and dishwashers. It costs $360 and $540 per year.
System plan: Costing between $360 and $540 per year, this plan covers central home systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and water heaters.
Combination plan: This plan type covers both systems and appliances, costing between $545 and $1,500.
