"Craig and his crew are great. I first came to know of Happy Home Contracting when my father was battling a terminal form of cancer. I saw Craig's truck down the road and I needed some help remodeling parts of my father's house that had been deeply abused by renters. Craig was reliable, charged a fair price, and does really quality work. He helped recreate a bathroom upstairs that really previously looked like it was from a slum house. The final result was something beautiful, modern, open, and full of light. He is easy to work with. He is someone that I trust deeply. And someone you can feel good about talking through concerns or questions throughout the process."

Small jobs welcome

"Dante was very professional in reviewing the project details with me on site and gave me price options which was simple to understand. He was very prompt with his response. I wasn't able to move forward with the project due to unexpected engine repairs for my vehicle. But I will definitely consider reaching out to him when I decide to proceed to move forward."

"Quincy and his team did a great job with demolition of the old garage and driveway and installation of all new garage & driveway. I was shocked at how fast the project was started and then completed even while i was out of town for a bit. It was about 4-5 weeks total."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Yes, integrating sustainable practices and energy efficiency into plans is common.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.

Yes, many providers offer design consultations to help optimize and maximize space, functionality, and usage. It is recommended to confirm the availability of this service with your specific installer or contractor.

Yes, custom designs match existing structural and aesthetic themes.

Blueprints are generally available for houses built after the early 1900s. Before then, detailed building schematics like blueprints were rarely used and even more rarely saved. If you have an older house and need blueprints, you can have a new set drawn up by an architect or draftsperson.
