"Prompt response to request for quote. Reasonable price; showed up on schedule and performed the work requested. Left a small/ minor mess on basement floor ( solder drippings), which is why professionalism was rated B instead of A.

"I want to thank the crew at Healthy Home Heating&Cooling for coming out today and setting up our new central air unit! Jonie made scheduling a breeze, was very informative on all the different options for us and considerate of our budget. Neil and Nick came out and installed for us and they were very polite and professional during the whole thing. Neil took the time after to explain everything that was done today and how to use the new thermostat. The basement was definitely cleaner than before they got here! The entire process of installing the new unit and doing maintenance on the furnace took about 6 hours. Extremely satisfied with the price and service here."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Federal architecture is most common in urban areas throughout the New England states, including the older parts of New York, Pennsylvania (namely, Boston and Philadelphia), Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia. The style also dominated in parts of Georgia in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, so many historical homes in the area embody this home design. Salem, MA, has two historic districts that predominantly feature this architectural style: Chestnut Street District and the Salem Maritime National Historic Site.

Custom homes can take an average of 18 months to build, mainly due to the lengthy design process, and most projects take somewhere between 12 and 24 months. When you work with the right custom home builders near you, they can help you map the road ahead and understand what can speed up or delay the timeline. Choosing locally available materials, for example, can speed things up without losing that customized touch.

The most common scale for residential blueprints is 1/4 of an inch equals one foot. This scale is the most popular because it’s easier for everyone involved, from professionals to homeowners, to understand the building’s actual dimensions. Also, it allows blueprints to have the necessary details without cluttering the page.

Yes, professionals will offer tailored solutions to fit architectural and personal style preferences.

Above all, the downside to building a new house is a longer timeline. You need several months to finish the build, depending on the supply chain and labor availability in the meantime. Building a home compared to buying one is also more expensive, both in the building process and when it comes to mortgage rates and property taxes.
