Our 70-year old home was looking quite sad with paint peeling on every side, rotten boards, and a general sense of neglect. We were unsure of what could be done to get it back into shape.

Of all the paint contractors we contacted (5 in total), Tyler from Shades of Rose put us most at ease. His bid was very competitive for the amount of work and he was honest, straight-forward, and patient with whatever questions we had. His crew arrived on time every day, were courteous and professional, and cleaned up thoroughly every day. They even removed and reinstalled our crazy storm windows without a complaint - which was a herculean task (Tyler said afterwards that they were the most difficult the team ever had to deal with).

At the end of the last day when we had our final walk around, I was amazed at the transformation of our house. I think Shades of Rose did a tremendous job and I am thankful that we invested in them. Also outstanding was Tyler's reassurance that they would come out to fix up anything that bugged us over the next few weeks. We also have a 3-year warranty and the crew will come out if there are any issues over that time frame.

"Revive Painting painted our entire home exterior, siding, trim, gutters, columns, and chimney. They used a solid color stain on quite an extensive deck and deck framing. And, a clear stain on the underside (exposed raw 2x6 T&G Car Decking) of two gazebos/pergolas and a deck roof cover. They also moved heavy items off the deck and are willing to return and put the items back on the deck once the stain has cured.  Ken was very prompt and responded to our phone call . Came to house ,inspected and the gave us a great bid. His crew was out first and pressure-washed deck ,gazebo and all deck boards to see what or what need to be replaced before sanding and staining. After 3 days his crew was back out to patch, paint and do prep work. They were very efficient and most of his employees have been with  him for years and know exactly what Kens high standards and his expectations are. He is very particular about what needs to be done. They finished after 4 days with Ken helping. Also did our gazebo and even took down awnings and replaced. They used Cabot stain and back brushed. They also had given us our choice of stains, so we could research them. I have had houses painted and stained many times but never with the quality& workmanship that they did. I am very happy with results and will use him again.
