Once the installers were on site, there was some confusion re where various components would go, but a phone call to the company cleared that up within an hour. From then on the heat pump installation went smoothly and professionally, the electricians did a quick and effective job of hooking it up to the service, and the site was left clean. I did not understand at first how to operate the thermostat, given that the Mitsubishi owners manual was of limited help, and per my request a rep from the company came out a few days later to give me a tutorial about what the range of settings can do. "Everything went very well.  I was not having any problems with my furnace, so this was just a regular "tune-up" call, if you will.  I had made arrangements for Richie to come while I was at work and no one was home.  I don't normally do this, but since the company is insured and bonded, I thought I'd take the gamble.  I arrived home just as Richie was finishing the final tests on the system.  He took the time to review the work he had done and informed me that I could save money if I had both the furnace and my gas operated fireplace maintenance performed at the same time.  Richie was very professional and knowledgeable and I plan to call on him again to have him do just that.

"It turned out Cozy Heat is not a distributor of our furnace brand, however they did find out for us that it is still covered under warranty for parts, but not labor. We were quoted what the cost of labor would be for them to install. He attempted to contact the furnace brand people for more information and was transferred to a number that said they were not open at that time (imagine that - after 9:00 a.m. on a Monday morning). He asked his secretary to check into that and call us back. She did very promptly. We were told we might want to get a 2nd opinion to decide on an 11 year old furnace whether we want to have a new furnace installed or have just the heat exchanger replaced. At this time we are planning to meet with a different company for a 2nd opinion. But even while we are waiting to do that, we are leaning towards having Cozy Heat replace the whole furnace.
The indecision is that reading online customer reviews about the different furnace brands, I don't see a furnace that stands out with customers and quot;very satisfiedand quot; more than and quot;very unsatisfiedand quot;. Seems like the reviewed furnace brands people are consistently 45% very satisfied and 55% very unsatisfiedand quot;.
Not sure how this story will play out.

"Our gas fireplace (original to the home in 2001) started having a squealing noise when the blower was turned on.  For a while, it only lasted a couple minutes, but then it started happening all the time - making the fireplace unusable!  So I researched on YELP, looking for a company that would service fireplace inserts.  The first place I called had a ton of great reviews, but they couldn't get out to the house for a MONTH!!  Way too long to be without our fireplace!!  So next I tried Hamblen & Sons. 
Tim Hamblen is the father - and handled my questions over the phone.  He is very a chatty guy - lots of humor...maybe a touch more joking than would be ideal - but he was a nice guy.  Due to the age of the blower unit, it would be a special order.  He provided a rough quote (based on another order he placed recently) of $450 or so and we decided to move forward with the process.  He called a week later (or so) and scheduled to come out the next day to install. 
The Hamblen son, Drew, was the installer - and was super professional and personable.  He was great with my 1 1/2 yr old son watching his every move.  He installed the new blower and proceeded to clean the glass (we could never get it clean) and gave me the name of the cleaner he uses (I have since ordered it on Amazon!).  He also cleaned and tested the rest of the fireplace to make sure everything else was functioning correctly. 
He gave me the final bill and it was under $400!!  What a nice surprise!!  We were prepared for close to $500 and it actually came to a little over $375 (including tax, etc).  He also asked about our water heater as the cost will be going up soon - do to new "features" - and he wanted to make sure if we needed one, we got on it soon to avoid the price increase.
I really liked working with this company and would recommend for sure.  We didn't really shop around much - time to be on the phone is hard to come by with little ones running around.  But we felt very comfortable paying what we did for the value we get out of our fireplace in not needing to have the entire house heated!!

Very professional, quickly installed a whole home surge protector on the wall next to the current panel. did the breaker changes as needed and left the area clean. All for a great price as well. The unit runs quietly and efficiently, but to have two major components fail in 3½ years doesn’t speak well for Bryant reliability. An “F” for $616 in labor costs (defrost control board installation $240, fan motor installation $376). These costs were listed on the invoice before work began. Parts were covered by warranty. Tax added another $53. The work was completed in less than two hours ($300+ per hour)."
