This review is long overdue in my praise of Washington Energy Services for their customer service, pricing and workmanship ! My first interaction was in 1999 when they installed windows throughout my house. They are still in excellent condition. I might note I called them over 20 years later to inquire on how I could repair a broken slider and they sent someone right out, charging a very nominal amount to repair it. In 2020, I needed to replace my hot water tank, and the extremely knowledgeable Christy presented several options, answering my many questions. I settled on one with a booster that seemed to best fit my needs. Finally, in December 2023, I purchased a new gas furnace from WES. I had a minor issue with a fan switch and they responded quickly to rectify the situation. Within the past two months, I seemed to be having an issue with my thermostat (something they had not installed), and the manager, Greg, came out twice with his crew to explore the problem. Today they installed a new thermostat FREE OF CHARGE! Their excellent response and customer service is beyond any company I have hired. And I particularly love that they are family owned and have been around for decades. Their employees seem to be there for the long haul, which speaks highly of the owner. I refer all my friends and family and I won't go anywhere else for services that they offer. Many thanks to the staff I have interacted with over the past 25 years!

Washington Energy Services did a great job installing our air conditioner, air filtration system, generator and new hot water heater. Charles Hassa did an excellent job explaining our options, providing guidance and answering our questions about the project. The installation technicians did an outstanding job with the installations. They were wonderful about communicating when they would be arriving on site, describing their work, responding to our requests, and cleaning up the job site. Charles and the installation teams, and everyone that we worked with at Washington Energy Services were all very knowledgeable, professional and experienced.

We'd used them four years ago to replace our windows. They were about 40% the cost of Renewal By Andersen for the same Andersen windows, were professional and courteous throughout the process, and we haven't had a single problem since. So when we wanted to put in a heat pump system for efficient heating and cooling they were high on our list. We got four bids, and once again they were the least expensive, in this case by a 30% margin. They explained our options well, came up with some creative solutions (we're an old house with old vent-work which they bypassed for the ductless pumps but used for a top quality air filter), and did the job quickly and efficiently. They've checked back a couple of times since to make sure everything is ok, which it is, and it's been really nice to heat our bedroom on some cold nights and cool my western facing home office on some sunny afternoons). When the permit inspector asked before they came over who our installer is and I told them, they said "They do really good work." Definitely recommend them to others and in fact already have.

Before the pandemic, we got our estimates for a full HVAC system (AC/Furnace/Air filtration/Thermostat) and Generator from Washington Energy Services. Then the pandemic happened which caused supply chain issues that hindered us from obtaining the products and equipment we wanted. Charles, our sales representative, gave us his word that he would do everything in his power to make sure we got the system we preferred, and he made it happen! Charles went above and beyond to meet our needs and preferences. He brought us the absolute best installers in the business. Roman, Pavel and his assistant, who were in charge of the HVAC system, along with Daniel and his assistant, who installed the Generator. They all did an amazing job planning, organizing and implementing a super quality, white glove installation, along with some added customization which was simply genius. They were very meticulous about every detail and didn’t leave any stone unturned. They were also very friendly and answered all of our questions and concerns. Despite the challenging circumstances Charles and his staff and all the admin contacts from Washington Energy Services came through for us. Their knowledge, expertise and customer service are second to none. They are stacked with talented professionals and have amazing customer service. From top to bottom they are the absolute best and I highly recommend them to everyone!

I recently needed to replace a 22+ year old furnace, filter AC before it became an emergency situation. My experience with Washington Energy Service was one of the most professional, pleasant and efficient company I have dealt with from estimate visit to the final inspection visit. 1. The original estimate was exactly what I paid, no surprise extra charges. Martin was very knowledgeable about my options and explained the pros and cons of each without hard sell pitches. 2. The start of job was about 2 weeks after the estimate and was I was told it would be 2 days and it was and that included waiting for an a City of Seattle Inspector. They also made sure that the furnace work before leaving the first day. 3. Worksite was left clean, and they were careful not to upset my handicapped cat (he was blocked away from their work area). 4. Vent cleaning was 2 days after the installation. They also did a nice job. Everyone that was involved with my new furnace, filter and AC were Washington Energy Service employees. The company has been in business for over 60 years and know what they are doing and how to treat their customers. PS: When speaking to the third City of Seattle Inspector, he casually mentioned that I had chosen well, that this companies inspections consistently pass because they make the effort to do the work right the first time.

Chris J. was so professional, efficient and friendly. He answered all my questions and explained a lot of things that I was unsure about. He also went the extra mile to let me know of a filter that could help my family with health issues. There was no pressure, just clear information. I did some research and confirmed that the filter would be helpful for us. So Chris installed one the same day, after several hours of the tasks he had originally come to perform. The weather was hot, but it did not slow him down and he did not complain. A friendly, competent guy. That has bee a typical experience with WES folks over several decades. They seem to find good people and train them well. Great Company.

We had Washington Energy Service install a new furnace, air conditioner and hot water heater when we purchased our home in 2016. We were impressed with the presentation made by their representative prior to our purchase compared to other representatives with whom we spoke. Because we wanted to be insured, we purchased an extended warranty. We're really glad we did! We have had the system serviced annually, but this year an extensive leak developed that damaged the interior of our home and caused black mold. We initially notified our insurance company but then decided we should notify Washington Energy Service as well. The decontamination had begun, but the damage was evident. The Washington Energy Service representative was so very helpful and understanding. He immediately determined what needed to be done to correct the problem and within two days had a team to our home to complete the repair. We appreciate the professionalism, courtesy, honesty and rapid response with which Washington Energy Service treated us and would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a good local company. My "C" rating is based as follows: An “A” for the technician. A “D” for the Bryant heat pump. The unit runs quietly and efficiently, but to have two major components fail in 3½ years doesn’t speak well for Bryant reliability. An “F” for $616 in labor costs (defrost control board installation $240, fan motor installation $376). These costs were listed on the invoice before work began. Parts were covered by warranty. Tax added another $53. The work was completed in less than two hours ($300+ per hour).

the first repairman came out to the house. He said it was broke, wasn't sure if he could get the. I told him to try if he couldn't I would try. He then when into a sales pitch about a new furnace.I said lets fix the one we have. I didn't hear from them for over a week. I called they said they thought I was getting the parts. I told them to ,please fix it. In the weeks that have followed. I have been told 1# we will be out next couple days to fix. #2 waiting on the part no ETA ( the old checks in the mail) I think if they make wait in the cold long enough, I will buy a new furnace from them. I won't buy anything Washington Energy Service. Not good people.

Called WSE for a routine inspection. The tech showed up right on time and was friendly & knowledgeable throughout the visit. They recommended replacing a few parts that were going out. They weren't cheap but a quick internet search confirmed WSE wasn't inflating prices, so I gladly had them replaced. However, a week later the furnace stopped working. I called and a tech was able to squeeze us in same day, the day before Thanksgiving. Turns out the igniter they installed the week prior was faulty. No charge for the visit or the new part. I was very happy they stood by their work and fixed the problem. Will definitely be using them again.

Couldn't have been better! Ricardo, Amador, John were the most professional tradesmen we've had work on our home in over 43 yrs! Their attention to detail was unmatched! Our house is stunning! People constantly stop & tell us how beautiful it is....that's because of W.E.S. & these 3 professionals that work there! My electric hot water heater was leaking and needed replacing. After getting several quotes, I decided on Washington Energy Services. Their quote was less than quotes I received from other companies due to a special they had on water heaters this month. The whole process went very smoothly. I set up an appointment for the next day. Rigo installed my new hot water heater--he was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. I would use Washington Energy Services again and would definitely recommend them to others.

We have a newly-built home with a large (and un-insulated) detached garage. As I'd like to use the garage as a workspace I contacted several vendors found on AL, ultimately choosing Washington Energy Services (despite some communication challenges during the quoting process). Job scope was to install blown-in R-49 fiberglass insulation in the attic, install and seal an attic hatch and install soffit vents as needed to properly vent to code. Job total quoted by WES was a little over $2300, we agreed to move forward and made the required 50% upfront payment. WES elected to subcontract out the project to a partner of theirs, presumably due to the size of the project. No problem, as their subcontractor was highly rated and communicated in a timely and professional manner. Plan was to prepare for install on one date, with the actual insulation install to follow a couple days later. On prep day the attic hatch was built and left about 80% complete, remainder to be finished on insulation day. The wheels fell off the bus however, when the tech from the subcontractor realized that due to the building's construction, he wouldn't be able to install soffit vents as planned. This was in part due to: a) the lack of an actual soffit on the back side of the structure; b) a decorative fascia on the front side; and most importantly, c) error on the part of the estimator from WES. Things happen. With the impending snow in early February and the need to devise a new plan to properly vent the attic, the project was (to be) briefly put on hold. Over the next couple of weeks I had a number of back and forth email conversations with the subcontractor regarding ventilation options and getting back on the schedule. I came to understand that they were waiting for the green light and instructions from WES. Subsequently, and interestingly enough, I received an email from American Express indicating that I'd received a credit from WES for the deposit that I'd paid the previous month. Not a word from Washington Energy Services, but from AMEX. Really?! I've attempted to follow up directly with WES, with both the initial sales rep as well as their billing department but have been completed ghosted. I understand that projects often hit unforeseen snags that require a change in scope and cost, but these types of issues are typically handled via timely and honest communication. To simply cancel a job — without communicating directly with your customer is just bush-league. Unbelievable.
