"57th ACliff, Chris and Craig provided excellent service for us.  We needed them to help us recycle and haul away refuse left by an evicted tenant.  The home was a true disaster.  They helped us remove carpets, clean up the yard and remove a lot of left over garbage from the tenants.  It took us two days to remove all the junk -- everything you could imagine.  Cliff was very professional and honest.  I will use them again in the future and I would heartily recommend them to anyone.

"Fantastic service! The two gentlemen who showed up to my home in Lynnwood were courteous and efficient, and hauled away my junk for less than half the price of the other places that have me quotes. I will definitely use their services again in the future should the need arise."

"Old stump required deeper excavation to remove and bamboo root came out in large clumps. Stump hole filled and grade leveled. All was done adeptly with skill and finesse. Great job overall. I would use Dillon again without hesitation."

"Purchased a Big Deal: $349 for 8 man-hours yard labor.
Two-man crew mowed, raked and edged front lawn, weeded and cleaned up 3 large front yard plant beds, trimmed and shaped laurel hedge, removed blackberry and raked up fall/winter leaves/branches in heavily wooded back yard.  It was a big job with a lot of cedar, pine and deciduous debris to collect.  Crew was friendly and helpful with suggestions and future upkeep recommendations.  Overall very happy with quality of service, and would hire again.
Only negative was punctuality.  They were scheduled for 9am.  At 9:30 I called to verify appointment and address, and was told crew was traveling from Arlington and was probably stuck in traffic.  Fair enough with I-405 congestion (I live in Sammamish).  Had not arrived by 11:15 so I called office again, this time office checked in with crew and said they would arrive shortly, which they did at 11:45.  I think a call to inform if more than 60 min late is common courtesy.  Would have been an issue if I had needed to leave the house prior to 3:45 when job concluded."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

On average, a garbage disposal can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years, with many models functioning well for about 10 years. With heavy usage, a motor may last a minimum of five years, while grinding plates will wear down over time. It's generally a good idea to consider a replacement if your unit is approaching the 10-year mark. Other signs that it's time for a new disposal include frequent leaks, persistent clogs, lingering odors, lack of power, or unusual noises. If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.

The most common garbage disposal size in the U.S. is 1/2 horsepower. This size is ideal for households with three or fewer people or those that don't produce much food waste. Although 1/2 horsepower can't handle the typical food waste load for a household of four (which is about 250 pounds of food waste annually) as effectively as 3/4 horsepower, it remains the most common size of garbage disposal on the market.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

If the cost of repairing a leaking garbage disposal is close to the cost of replacing the disposal, then fixing the unit might not make sense. When deciding if you should repair or replace your garbage disposal, consider the age of your garbage disposal, the cost of the repair, and whether your garbage disposal has had other problems recently to help you decide if the cost of repairing the leak is better than the cost of replacing the disposal.
