"My first impression of the crew at Hedlund was great. Zakary gave me lots of info along with the estimate and a competitive price. The crew in my home doing the work were nice, respectful, and accommodating of my needs. The quality of the work is excellent and we are so delighted we had it done! The main issue we had with the team was a lack of clarity and communication about the time required for the job. We scheduled the job for a week when we were out of town so that the process would be less invasive, but progress was very slow and we ended up needing to spend an additional week in a hotel. The project manager, Rigo, was very apologetic and brought in some extra crew to help get the house livable more quickly. The time factor was compounded by the fact that they had a bottleneck of work in their shop and needed to turn our garage into a painting booth. The crew was hardworking and the quality of the job is excellent, so I can definitely recommend these guys for any painting work you have. I just also recommend being crystal clear about expectations for the timeline and location of the work, and for doing some research on your own end about how to prevent dust from sanding going everywhere in your home!"

"Jerry was quick to respond and negotiate the bid as I had additional requests to add to the bid. I had several other bids that needed further negotiations that were not adequately addressed. Jerry was responsive to my concerns and made an effort to address any issues. I wanted the gutter painted as I noticed the unpainted gutters attract dirt and stain over time and Jerry had no problem adding that to the bid. Most of the work was completed by his worker. However, Jerry completed the touch up work himself. He did provide a high quality paint and 2 coats. Jerry was really good about checking the quality of the prep work and the paint job. I really like the finished look of my house. I think I got a great price and good work."

"Steve has gained a lifetime customer. I had 2 bedrooms , 13 door trims and floor trim all through the house painted. He is very meticulous, courteous and helpful. He is willing to take that extra step if necessary to make sure the work is done properly.He always keeps you updated throughout the process. I also had the railing on our outside deck, the fascia boards, window trim and front door painted. I had shared a color with Steve that I wanted the trim and fascia boards painted in and he said "Can I be honest your selection is just ok, because you want contrast and this color doesn't pop. It is your house but I think you can find something that would look better". I took his advice to heart and he was right I chose a beautiful red and we are so so happy with it. Once I have pictures I will add them. I had discussed with him at one point of possible painting our dark cabinets in the kitchen white and he told me he would not do it because they are nice. He said yes he could make good money doing the job, but no it would be a waste of my money, that is honesty!. "The mill work is absolute perfection.  All edgings and casings around windows is perfect and beautiful.  The exterior paint and trim of the house was finalized on schedule, as well as clear coating our new deck (cedar).  Of special note, three coats were painted on our deck and the water beads up beautifully after the rains (and it is not slippery). The tongue in-groved pine ceiling is more than beautiful and the boards are aligned perfectly.
We had seven different colors for the interior and each room turned out exactly as was envisioned.  The work was done efficiently, and correct the first time around.  The corners of where two different paints meet is flawless.   The crews are highly professional, efficient and obviously dedicated to doing the best job to ensure the customer is happy.  Information was shared on types of paint (semi-and high-gloss and satin and clear coat finishes) and what would work best for specific rooms and/or areas (e.g., kitchen versus living room versus deck).  The crews were extremely careful in rooms that had carpet and hardwood floors.  There was not one drop of paint spilled or splattered.  They were meticulous and clean in doing all their work.
After moving back into our home, there was a return visit for touch ups (all was due to moving furniture/appliances in).  This was scheduled very conveniently and the crew was on time.  They finished everything in an expedient manner and once again, taking extra precautions to protect floors and furnishings. They even took off their shoes before entering the house proper.  So thoughtful.
What I appreciated most about the crews, including their pride doing a job extremely well, is that they respected our home.  We have already recommended them to family and friends and if we need their services in the future we would definitely turn to Above and Beyond.
