"Overall, my experience was very good. The person who helped me with my quote was responsive and personable. We did have some communication issues regarding some of the items we wanted moved. We crews that helped us with the physical move worked very hard and provided solutions when issues came up. The single recommendation I could provide to anyone is be 100% sure everything you want to move is on the digital inventory at least 5 days before moving day. The day of the move, I found things were missing on the digital inventory even though we talked about it."

"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"Lennie and Drew were responsible for our most excellent moving experience. They arrived on time with smiles and good humor that was contagious. They asked how we would like it done, then protected floors and doorways and moved and loaded everything perfectly. All was unloaded and placed in each room with the same good humor and care the next day. Our stuff was wrapped and packed extremely well. No damage at all from the 5+ hour trip. By far our best moving experience. A great price and an even better move! Thank you Righteous Moving Services! Dave and Beth"

Small jobs welcome

"I called United Prime Van Lines only 1 week before my move - they were extremely helpful and accommodating. On the day of the move we hit a snag, as there was someone else moving on my floor at the same time and we only had 1 elevator. They made the most of it and we moved a lot of stuff down 4 flights of stairs in a timely manner. Trustworthy and competent!"

"I had a great moving experience with this company. I was in a hurry to move because of my mom passing . I didn’t know where to start.I googled moving companies in the area and I came across this one. US Prime Movers have the best reasonable prices you can’t beat nowhere! They was informative about ever step. The moving process didn’t take long as I thought. Everything was wrapped and packed nicely. All of my items came as I left it . I’m astounded by the enthusiasm these guys have. They were friendly but professional at the same time. They did an superb job."

"The total price came in slightly higher than the estimate, however, I moved during peak time... gas prices were at their all time high. Three years earlier the same move cost 100 percent lower, then again, I moved in non peak time..."

Moving questions, answered by experts

In Seattle, the duration of moving projects varies based on home size, distance, and local conditions. Smaller apartments may be completed in a single morning, while larger homes can take most of the day. Factors like steep driveways, limited parking, and rainy weather can extend timelines. Local movers often recommend planning for extra time during busy seasons or when navigating Seattle’s unique neighborhoods.

Helpful?

Before your Seattle move, confirm parking availability for moving trucks and secure any necessary permits to avoid fines. Schedule elevator reservations if you’re in a high-rise, and check with your building for move-in policies. Protect belongings from rain with waterproof covers, and coordinate with local movers about narrow streets or loading zones. Planning ahead for utility transfers and elevator access helps prevent last-minute setbacks.

Helpful?

When evaluating moving professionals in Seattle, be cautious of vague or incomplete estimates, especially those that don’t mention potential fees for stairs, elevators, or ferry crossings. Watch for movers who avoid in-home assessments, lack proper licensing, or request unusually large deposits. Reliable local movers should be familiar with Seattle’s parking restrictions and building access rules, providing clear, detailed quotes up front.

Helpful?

In Seattle, hidden costs during moving projects often include fees for navigating stairs, long carries from street to door, or ferry trips to island neighborhoods. Unexpected expenses may arise if parking permits aren’t secured, leading to tickets or delays. Some buildings require deposits for elevator use, and specialty items like large artwork or wine collections may need extra handling. Discuss these specifics with your local movers to avoid surprises.

Helpful?

Combining your move with home upgrades in Seattle can help streamline your project timeline and reduce hassle. Completing tasks like interior painting, refinishing floors, or electrical work before moving in allows local movers and contractors to work more efficiently. You’ll also avoid extra cleaning and protect new finishes from damage, making your transition smoother and minimizing disruptions once you’re settled.
