They do not have the necessary expertise to pack a POD to protect your valuables. BUYER BEWARE. As part of this recent move, their crew packed a large glass table topper for transport across country in a POD. The fact that they were packing a POD and that it was traveling long distance was told to their sales associate upon reserving the time slot for our move. Mind you, this glass topper survived this exact same trip (inside a POD across multiple states) when it was transported 2 years ago. However, Adams Moving & Delivery Service used insufficient packing material to protect the glass and then placed A COUCH on top of it. So of course the glass shattered in transit. Upon being told of this incredible failure to pack the glass adequately, they quoted their insurance policy around absolving themselves of guilt once the door to the POD is closed. Several of the other pieces of furniture were also packed poorly, arriving with deep gouges and scratches on their surfaces. So again BUYER BEWARE. If you are thinking of working with these guys know that they do not have the skills/knowledge necessary to pack a POD and WILL NOT pay for the damages incurred by your valuables after they fail to provide standard "Moving & Delivery Services."
Response from Adam's Moving & Delivery Service
"Thank you for your feedback. For local moving services, our trucks are equipped with everything needed to safely protect and secure your items. When loading a POD for shipping, that protection is typically provided by the customer. We offer recommendations and can bring supplementary items for convenience. We do our best with what is provided to us and disclose those limitations in advance. We are very sorry to hear about your table. While liability for shipping containers is minimal, we are always happy to work with you to find a reasonable resolution. If you are still interested, please reach out to us directly."

Do yourself a favor and only move with Adams. This is my second move with Adam's team and once again they efficiently moved a four story townhome into a two level home. Each representative from scheduling, estimating to the movers themselves are professional and considerate. Moving can be stressful, but the Adams team, specifically the movers, Jason R, Nick Z and Tyler C were absolutely amazing during our move. We could not have asked for a better experience.

We used Adam's moving for our recent move in Seatlle. We were impressed from the beginning when they advised as to how to reserve parking outside of our home wiht National Barricade which was very easy. The day of the move, the three movers (Gabriel, Henry and other other person whose name I forget) were on time, courteous and professional. It was heavily raining the day of our move which they handled like pros. They also helped us transport some breakable items and very heavy items which was extremely helpful. They kept us informed throughout the process and their covid protocols made us feel comfortable. I would highly recommend them.

Well, my 30's are showing, but I'm pretty sure Adam's was the best thing I've spent money on in years! My partner and I found a new apartment and decided to hire movers and they came highly recommended. Everyone was right. Will, Maksin and Jerrell were INCREDIBLE. They showed up early (and called first to ask if it was ok), they were mindblowingly efficient, so kind, and somehow moved everything up and down 3 flights of stairs in both places in an hour faster than I was quoted. I'm not kidding when I say it was the most joyful money I've ever spent. It was my first time being able to move without hurting my back or feeling exhausted at the end of the day. Their help truly allowed me to ENJOY the first day in my new home. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN! You're the BEST

Adam's has moved me at least 3 previous times before now, and while they were excellent in the past, I can't recommend them any longer. In July of 2020 I hired them for a pack and move and it was a debacle at every turn. While they showed up on time and all crew were personable, they packed things poorly and rushed the job. Why rush a job when you get paid by the hour? They damaged numerous things including a dining table, some ceramics and a one of a kind piece of art. Prior to taking the art off the wall, we discussed the piece's fragility and they reassured us it was no problem. When we arrived, I watched them drop the dining table, denting a corner. After unpacking, I found ceramic dishware crushed because it had been poorly padded. Expensive clothing had to be sent to the cleaners because it was haphazardly dumped into a box, still on hangars (what's the point of a wardrobe?) And the piece of art in question was damaged. But, we paid for no-deductible insurance and in the days following the move, I contacted Adam's and Adam personally reassured me it would all be taken care of. Three months later and after 37 emails (thirty-seven!) they refused to pay to have the art remounted after first saying they would. I wasn't asking them to pay for the piece itself (worth several thousand dollars) but to pay for the framing they destroyed. They went around and around on the table, first telling me that the damage "isn't that bad" as if that obviates the responsibility somehow. And the bowl that I had a receipt for, they only wanted to pay 25% of. After months of wrangling, I finally got them to pay my contractor for the table and to cut me a check for the ceramics. While usually responsive, they were dismissive and neglected to sign emails so I never knew who I was talking to or if it was the same person. It became clear that Adam delegated handling my case to someone who didn't care if I left negative reviews all over the web universe. I gave them ample opportunities to save face but they fought me at almost every turn. There are many competent movers out there, Adam's is no longer one of them.
Response from Adam's Moving & Delivery Service
"Thank you for your feedback. We were sorry to hear of your damage and worked tirelessly to resolve your issues. We quoted this job at 8 hours and finished in 11 due to the additional inventory. We certainly did not rush. Unfortunately, a few items did suffer damage, which was fully replaced. We were asked to transport a "one of a kind" piece of art, which we disclosed was not included with your coverage. Any licensed and insured moving company cannot insure those items. That was disclosed, in writing, before, during, and after our service. At the end of the day, accidents can happen from time to time. We replaced those items in-full and went above and beyond to refinished your entire dining table beyond the minor damage our crew caused. We even offered to pay for your dry cleaning, which you declined. We are sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with that level of resolution."

I hired Adams for our local move and my wife and I couldn't be happier with them. They showed up on time, let us know where they were on packing day. The packers were friendly and were great charters as we were packing up together. They took great care with our custom game table too. I would hire them again for a move.

Adam and Derek scheduled the move at short notice - next day. They replied promptly and found an opening in the schedule. It was the last move of the day, in rush hour traffic. The movers Andrew and Casey were amazing. They called and updated me on their arrival. Again this was their 3rd move of the day. They were pickup up the door on their way to the condo. They arrived and were kind, professional, dedicated and very hardworking. They worked very well together. And got the job done in record time. We will definitely email for the next move!

I can't rave about the guys who performed the job enough. they were a few minutes early and HUSTLED. My husband and I had a hard time keeping up with them because they were so efficient. The truck was packed and on the road in what seemed like the blink of an eye. they did not mess around but were also very friendly and conversational. Once we got to the new house the truck was unpacked in another blink of an eye. they were careful with our belongings and helped us disassemble things if we didn't have the right tools. All around it was the best part of the moving experience. they were fantastic and I can't recommend them enough. they work they did in a few hours would have taken us and friends all day to do. Completely worth the expense. Excellent value.

Not as well as I had expected. First they screwed up my reservation, it was supposed to be on Saturday and they accidentally put me down for Sunday. This was a bit of problem since I needed to have my condo cleared out and cleaned for staging and photographs to get it on the market and everyone else was already scheduled. Adam's Moving offered to give me a discount and add an extra guy (3 for the price of 2) which I thought was very generous of them. They showed up at the end of their window on Sunday (which is fine) and they made quick work of getting everything out of the condo and into the truck, although I will say the 3rd guy they added was a little smaller and was obviously having difficulties carrying as much as the other two (I felt so guilty I started helping him take stuff out, which kind of defeats the purpose of hiring movers). Then when they took my bed apart, it appears that two screws (one on each side that were connected to the headboard) were stripped and they couldn't get it to come apart. This was a pretty expensive bed with headboard, foot and side boards and storage drawers underneath. It was a matching bedroom set that I had only purchased a year and a half ago. They did try to move the whole piece out but it wouldn't fit in either the elevator or the stairwell. After spending about half an hour trying to remove stripped screws they suggested that I leave it behind and tomorrow and they could get a tool that would cut the bolts off. This wasn't an option as the condo needed to be cleared out that night so that all the other people that were scheduled to get it ready to go on the market could start Monday morning. SO, I told them that the only other option I could think of was to break it apart so that we could get it out of the building. Now I'm not saying that the movers stripped the screws, but this was the first time that the bed had been taken apart since it was delivered and put together by the delivery guys from the store I bought it new from. I have no way of knowing if they were stripped before they started or not. I also had a sewing cabinet that came completely apart as they were moving it and while I really didn't care so much about it, it was turned into nothing more than trash by the time we got to my new home. I had asked the guys if they could at least take away the busted furniture and dispose of it for me. After speaking with what I assume was the big boss, I was told no. They were kind enough to take all the broken pieces to the back yard and leave by my deck. So now, I'm stressed out because everyone's' schedule is now compressed to get the condo ready for the market, I don't have a bed frame, so I'm spending the first night in my new home on the floor and I need to find another person who will come and take the busted furniture away. Not exactly how I had expected the move to go. I've used Adam's Moving in the past and they were great and my friends used them for their move last year and had nothing but glowing things to say about them. But I wouldn't have them take apart any of your furniture, if you can't do it yourself, ask them be present while they do it and make sure they are using the proper tools. While I was the one to make the decision to break apart the bed to get it out of the condo building, it would have been a solid if they had just said, "sorry about your bed, wish there was another way we could have done it but we'd be happy to take it away for you so that you don't have to hire another company to take it to the dump." I think that more than anything would have made my moving experience much less stressful. I'd probably recommend them to anyone asking for recommendations, for the most part they did a good job and their prices are reasonable but this experience was less than stellar for me.

The estimate was right on and honored, the moved when just as planned. But here is what I liked best - the moving team worked together so well - they worked hard and had a good time with the move, it was great to be around their positive energy during such a large event in our lives - thank you.

Very pleased--they did an excellent job. They are organized, easy to reach via phone and email, and did the move exactly as arranged. The two movers were prompt, courteous and professional. This is the third time I have hired Adam's, and all three times they were excellent. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I was disappointed with this company. Several of my items were damaged including expensive framed photographs. The crew chose not to use the boxes I bought for them even after I explained they were valuable. A cabinet was dropped which damaged the base and front two legs and a dining table was chipped because it was not wrapped or disassembled. I had a good front end experience with the company arranging the move so I was optimistic and because hardly any emphasis was put on buying insurance I didn't. My claim was assessed by weight (?) and I'm out of pocket paying for repairs. I even tipped all three of the crew handsomely before discovering the damaged items.
Response from Adam's Moving & Delivery Service
"Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to that your moving experience did not meet your level of expectations. While damage is very uncommon, mistakes do happen and it is our responsibility to provide an appropriate level of compensation based on the insurance chosen for the move. All licensed moving companies have the same three levels of valuation to provide their customers as mandated by State tariffs. Basic Value Protection being the option chosen on move day, which provides compensation based on the weight of any damaged articles. We do disclose these options via our website, email correspondence, estimate sheet and on move day. We appreciate your feedback and will explore perhaps a different approach to present these options. It is our goal as a well-established and reputable company to always have a stellar moving experience for our customers. We are only able to provide compensation based on that which was chosen and attempted to resolve the claim amicably for both parties based on the information of the claim. Again, we do appreciate your feedback and if you have any questions or follow up, please do not hesitate to reach us directly. -Adam's Moving Service"

These guys may have been good. No longer. I used them 4 times in one year based on reviews and my contractor's experience. 2 out of the 4 moves were ok. The other two were a disaster. Their guys lost 4 dining room chairs and destroyed my wine refrigerator. The two moves that were fine were organized by one very good guy. The other two were done by people they got from the Home Depot parking lot. After trying to work out the lost and damaged items, the owner offered to pay me $15 per lost chair. He argued that because I chose the basic insurance plan, he did not owe me any more that that (even though he acknowledge that his guys left my chairs at one of the stops).
After assuring me he would follow up on the wine refrigerator, he did not. I called the company and found a way to replace the broken door. He offered to send me a check, but not replace the door or the added cost of removing and discarding the old door that his people destroyed.
This company has lost their way and I am utterly flabbergasted by their inability to provide decent customer service. Go elsewhere.

Response from Adam's Moving & Delivery Service
"Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that you feel our service is worthy of 1 star. We have PT/FT movers on our crew, we do not hire temp workers from Home Depot. We never stated that we had Home Depot guys working for us. This is an absolute lie that you keep propagating on different review site. We offered you compensation based on the level of insurance you selected for your move. Had you chosen and paid for replacement insurance, your items would have been covered at the replacement insurance level. We offered to cover the cost of replacement for the wine fridge door as an effort of good faith, not because we were required to. We offered you a fair and reasonable resolution for the 4 chairs you claim are missing. You wanted us to buy you 8 new chairs, which we feel is quite unreasonable. If you chose basic liability car insurance and then get in a car accident, Progressive Insurance is not going to replace your car because you kick and scream."

Adams Moving Company damaged several pieces of my furniture
during the move. The worst damage was to my dining table. They ran out of
blankets to cover it and used my yoga mat instead. Yoga mat did not work and
the top of the dining table got severely scratched and gauged. The repairman
that came to the house told us that ?he hasn?t seen this bad of a damage in a
long time? and a proper repair requires the top to be sanded down and
refinished. Another furniture repair store I talked to said the same thing. The
estimated cost is $650-700. Adam refused to compensate me for the damage and
paid me only $60. They also cracked the soap dispenser of the washing machine
and dented the corners and sides of few other pieces of furniture. I would not
use them again and I would advise anybody to keep clear of this company. They
are careless and when they damage the furniture by not protecting it properly
they just say ?accidents happen?. This was not an accident. This was
incompetence. I would like them to pay me the $700 required to repair the
dining table.
Response from Adam's Moving & Delivery Service
"We were very sorry to hear about the unfortunate damage that occurred during your move. You were fully compensated for the damage that occurred based on the level of insurance you selected. Had you selected and paid for full replacement insurance, you would have been compensated accordingly. You selected the basic value protection and were compensated at .60 per pound for any damage. All moving companies in WA have the same levels of insurance for the consumer to select, as we are all regulated by the State of Washington."

First, amazing professionalism of EVERYONE that helped.  We ended up splitting the move into two days-first crew 4 men/ 1 truck, second crew 2 men / 1 truck.  Scheduling was efficient.  Both crews on time to start the job and really hustled to get our belongings safely loaded up and off loaded.  The price-lower than 2 other competitor's bids.
I'd hire this company again in a heartbeat!  Highly recommended.
